Yao disappeared in the 4th of the lakers game, in a way. he didnt make any basket in the crunchest crunch time, what a damn shame.
it was partly an officiating thing, he didnt get any free throws, the only one taken was a technical. and in the 4th the refs allowed the lakers to get physical on Yao, in the meantime Scola got 3 fouls in like 2 minutes?
on the other hand Yao REALLY should work on his game in the 4th. come on, he's been in the league for this many years and he never figured it out! do something about it! you can't let the refs get in your head like that!
so dear fellow, what are you going to do if you were Yao?
here is what i'll do: take the ball, move solidly, attack hard, get physical, thus to earn some respect.
What to do with Yao's game if you were HIM?

That one blocking call Scola got was a horrible, horrible call. I know block/charge calls are pretty hard to officiate generally but that one was very obvious. But still our lack of FTs as a team wasn't some officiating debacle or anything, LA just wasn't playing any defense.
Yao just runs out of gas in the 4th pretty much. I dread OTs where we try to milk a weary Yao. But all in all his offensive game is fine despite people's nitpicking. He still managers to score 20pts where pretty much you're the #1 priority of opposing team defenses. I really like how he is using his pump fake more recently to get into the lane, people will bite on it everytime.
Unless Yao somehow magically gets more stamina, which he isn't because he already works himself to the bone, we should play outside-in the final couple of possessions. I think it is a chance for Brooks to really grow into this role with T-Mac out.

It's the rotation.
Ric sits Yao almost 10 minutes before he brings him back in. He does this to keep him fresh. However even JVG has said Yao needs time to get warmed up.
Ric needs to start him at the 8 min mark like when JVG did it. Bring him at the 5-6 min mark gives him very little time to establish a shooting touch.

Yao has tried that before. The refs regularly call it an offensive foul.
Also steroids would solve ALL his problems.
