I would take Devin Harris and Yi for McGrady, Scola and Brooks any day. Or McGrady for Iguodala any day.
Unfortunately for the Rockets those aren't the offers they are getting or will get once they start seeking trades. They are getting offers of Willie Green and fillers for McGrady and Sean Williams and Bobby Simmons for McGrady.
The Rockets aren't getting those offers OR your alternate offers because Harris + Yi = $10.8m and the others would be even less.
That said, I'm may try to figure out a way for a trade involving Harris (whose numbers are a bit inflated right now) to work with Alston.
