yao is never much of an all-star performer

his game is way too robot 4 it

You can probably say the same for Duncan and Nowitzki as well. IMO there's nothing wrong with being too robot. Performing at all-star games depends a lot on athleticism and/or personality. Yao has very poor athleticism, and his personality is rather conserved, much like almost all Chinese players, so I don't expect him to do well at All Star Games, but not because his game is too "robot".
