HUGE gamble, i still disagree with it but I'm glad it happened. Artest has been pretty clutch this season though ...

Though Yao made this otherwise stupid move, he is one of them to blame for not getting aggressive and give confidence to the team.

Except when he's possessed by the ghost of the tru warier and decide to take over the game by overdribbling the basketball.

the leader of the team should be the one to maintain spirit of the team, giving confidence. Artest nor Yao did anything like that, one get stoneheaded, one shys away.

The thing with ARtest is, if he doesn't force it, he is fine. Its when he tries to force things. He becomes horrible.

If he can tone down these following items, maybe it won't be so bad.

-Defensive gambles (too much)
-ISO dribbling, needs to stop. He had 0 TO by 4th, at the end of 4th, he collected TO. If he dribbled more than that, i am sure we would see more TO.
-3 point shots, some games he has like 6-7 3 point attempts, what happen to this guys post game.

That houston guy Solomn wrote the best Article about Yao. He needs to demand the ball. But he is too much of a passive player to do it.

I don't know how he can be happy with averaging 11-13 shots a game. Oakfor wasn't even fronting as much. He saw double teams, but he has plenty of chances for 1on1.

Yao will never be the #1 option if he can't get a few 20 FGA games. I think the last time he took that many shots was back in December 2008. Rockets are 27-1 when Yao scores 20pts, that alone tells you Yao needs to be more aggressive.

We played bad enough to lose. But two things. Artest got lucky on that shot to put us ahead as his defender fell down. And its the Bobcats who believe running a play for Raja Bell is actually a legit end of game play.

A win is a win I suppose but it seems as each game goes by we show more and more why we aren't a good playoff team. The end of game collapses continue to plague us and its not just for a stretch here and there like it was in past years where we would get past something like that as McGrady would get better later in the season. Now its just something that as a Rocket fan..you expect and hope that your team can make a FT here...a stop there...and just hold on for wins.

Win is a win I guess, but should not have been as close as it was. Artest hit a big shot, props for that, but hopefully that sort of shot selection doesn't remain a constant.

Was always going to be a danger game, we suck on the road, and Charlotte haven't been bad of late, so I am happy to leave the building with a W.

That said, the 4th quarter gives me the creeps.

I think most NBA players... were the go to guys in their college or high school teams... so when you have a team of go to guys... its hard for these guys to give up that role... plus I think RA game plan is to have Yao pass it out... and get the team involved as much as possible...

I figure you go to Yao as much as possible in the first 3 quarters... when he is still fresh and the other teams dont start to double or front as much until the 4th...

Tonite I finally gave up all hope for Artest. Ithought w/his recent play he'd finally "got it" and was settling into being just what the Rockets needed. I mentally excused the Lakers fiasco as it was Kobe and Ron likes to prove a point. But tonite against Charlotte, that's it,no more Artest for me. He's dead to me.

Yao freaking OWNS Okafor. OWNS him! Yao can't miss all game and when it comes down to the final minutes in a close game,Yao swishes a bail-out 3-a pressure freakin' 3!-and follows that w/a turn-around J that he buries. So when Ron gets the rebound and dribbles upcourt, what does this basketball (Please Use More Appropriate Word) do-feed the hot shooter in Yao,oh no,that's not how Tru Warrior rolls. Instead he shows off his meagre ball-handling skills and turns the ball over. Yao is hot,he'd established good position deep, you f***in' feed him-it's Basketball 101. You do not try to create a shot for yourself when you're 0 for the week!
