Who do we want to win the LA Game? Because I dont really want either to win, but I dont care who we play in the playoffs. Especially if the Jazz are injured... (DWill?) I dont know if its bad, but I just start watching.

Listening to the halftime talks, i agree that no laker players will be thinking we don't want to win. Every player playing the game will play to win. The question is whether the coach will field a team that is strong enough to win. The lakers have a strong bench, their 2nd team can win this game for them.

LA Lakers 56
Utah 55

Halftime

Kobe only played 10 minutes and got some early fouls. He'll be rested for the second-half, if he gets to play.

Lakers can still win without playing at full-strength.

Clearly, we want the Lakers to win. No-one expects us to beat the Lakers in the playoffs, anyone for that matter. A win builds momentum for them...they're already a steam-train.

Utah lose, they finish 8th, period.

HELL YES. My Lakers doing the Rockets a favor.

Hope they OBLITERATE the Jazz in the first round.

The only scenario for us to not have homecourt is if we lose tomorrow and BOTH the Spurs (vs Hornets and Blazers (vs Nuggets) win their games. Which might be likely seeing that we are the only team of the three playing our last game on the road (Mavs in Dallas).

Utah out of the picture now. I think we do everything in our power to get that #2 seed. I don't think we can count on NO beating SA tomorrow night. We gotta go beat Dallas even though we haven't won a season series from them in a forever.

Is it a sign of a lack of trust to be incredibly relieved that the Jazz are not only "out of the picture" but also likely to loose and thus not a possible opponent in any round ? If so i´m like really weak right now ... :)

p.s. : I guess you´ll see some more of me during the Playoffs. Not much of a "team poster" since i´m more a general board guy and general NBA Fan (though i´ve posted here more frequently a while back), but since both Yao and Scola are long-standing favourites of mine

For tonight i think the Blazers are likely not going to face a full-strenght Blazers team and with Pop you never know what he´ll do, for all i know he could say "screw homecourt" and just sit Duncan again, they are a traditionally strong road team. And the Hornets haven´t much to gain anyway, have they ? And with all their banged up players might sit at least Peja.

NO might be 'resting' CP3 and West; i.e. playing the first and perhaps the third quarters.

So SA's gonna win even if Duncan rests.

So we have to win.

Take care of what we can only control, need to beat Dallas today, and worst case scenario, we SHOULD have homecourt.
