If we go deep(er) into post-season, the higher his value is, but IMO the higher the likelihood him staying is. Artest likes Houston.

He's done his part in getting us out of the first round. 10 million sounds about right.

I don't know how pervasive the sentiment is, but many Raptors fans seem to want Artest in Toronto. (They'll have a lot of money available with Marion coming off the books.) He seems to be regarded as the 'toughness' piece the team is currently lacking; as emphasized by GM Colangelo's statement that the team needs a guy with 'fight,' a 'dog,' I think he said. Also, a while back Artest had those kind of bizarre but overwhelmingly positive statements about Canada.

Canada seems like such a strange fit for Ron, but maybe not a bad one. Thought I'd throw this into the discussion. Good luck against the Lakers -- I'm rooting for you.

It depends what Artest is looking for. If hes simply looking for the biggest pay day then it might be in toronto.

Which wont work out IMO. Hes best staying in Houston, hes around a good group of guys that keep him in check and the fans love him. Also lets keep in mind coach adelman is the only coach to really contain artest. If you ask me Artest didnt get one legitimate technical this year a couple were iffy.

If Artest wants whats best for him, its Houston 4 years 40 million. He might choose a bigger pay day from Toronto but he would be on a less competitive team that MAY lose Bosh causing him to be in a rebuilding process.

Sometimes I dont really get why some players just go for a few extra million in a crappy scenario rather then live and play with a better team in a city they love. 40 million 47 million?? I mean your rich regardless so why not play for a championship and chose the best situation I guess when your that rich money gets to your head

Every coach and player in the league "chases the money."...Artest will too.
