Brooks is the key...

this guy should get himself going from the start. in all 3 wins against the lakers his averaging ai type numbers of 26.3 ppg. but in all 3 losses its down to 11. i say a great start from brooks (10+ pts. in the 1st half) would keep the game close and him finishing with 20+ pts would surmount to a huge win for the rockets..

i believe..he`s the freakin` key.

I have been saying it since game 1, but some folks think he is just 2 young to be superman for this team...

but then I noticed he tends to have a off game after every good game this series...

lets hope he bucks the trend..,

why does it seem like for Brooks its either a home run type game... or grounder back to the pitcher...

Actually my favorite thing about this current run is that there isn't a "key"... its a whole damn chain...

Our biggest name Artest isn't even playing well, but the team is -- and I can't single anyone out without disrespecting someone else's immense contributions. AB has been huge, but then its like are you forgetting Scola dominating the much taller/longer/athletic Laker front line? If you start praising Scola, can you really not mention how amazing 6'6 Chuck Hayes has been, and the difference we see when he's not in foul trouble? Now you're talking about Chuck's amazing D and you're neglecting the fantastic and admirably classy/professional job Shane is doing on Kobe.

It's crazy... just going down the line... so many great performances by a supposedly lesser talented team.

That said, I do think we are going to need AB to stay aggressive and hit his shots. He's one of the few creators remaining on our active squad, and he's at his best when he is confident and aggressive.

ya your right, it is a team effort... probably one of the reasons LA is having a tough time with this line up, they really dont know who is gonna light them up... no one has been really consistent through out the 6 games

but the one thing we know is the LA guards cant stop AB... so what we dont need him to be doing is jacking up contested 3 point shots.

but taking the ball in and trying to break down the defense, but do it smart, we dont need him to go 1 on 5... just break down his man and either pass to a open man as they converge on him or take a shot

and like I said in game 2, if he decides to put the team on his shoulders/ be the man, and take the shots. instead of going for assists.... then he needs to put the ball in the basket, and win the game for the team

ya he ballin in the playoffs but only his 2nd season, for him to have a good game vs derek fisher in a game 7 at LA would be hard pressed to do...but so would trying to beat the lakers in a game 7 on the road.

next season brooks should start blasting his career off on a all star level or near at least. better numbers, better shooting, prolly some steals.

Laker fan here and I agree 100%...If Phil continues to put Fish in against Brooks it's a guaranteed repeat of Games 4 and 6. We need Farmar in there on D, he's the only guy we got even close to Brooks' speed. Definitely the key matchup in Game 7, in my opinion. He has been your guys MVP this series by far.

if I was investing your money for you and for 2 years all I did was churn your account making money 50% of the time and losing money 50% of the time making my commissions no matter what...

AB is young and inexperienced... but there is a reason we are sitting at home watching the game on TV while he is getting paid the big bucks to play a game, that he has been playing since he was a kid...

and yes he has done a wonderful job for us this year, winning us games... but lets not forget he also had a hand in playing horrible(where others had to cover up for his mistakes for us to win the games), or losing us, just as many games this year too..
