Guy986 can relax,Chase signs

I've been in LA too long. Budinger looks like he's the best bud to the lead in a cheap romantic comedy.

(edit add)
Similar to Taylor,2yrs guaranteed,2 option yrs.

Edit: http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/ ... _agreement

The Houston Rockets reached a contract agreement with rookie forward Chase Budinger according to his agent Kevin Bradbury.

Bradbury told FOX 26 Sports Tuesday Budinger's deal with the Rockets is for two years with team options for two more years.

"This is a great opportunity for Chase," Bradbury said. "The Rockets really stepped up by giving him a deal that is comparable to what a first rounder would receive.

Do we still have part of the MLE, or is that used to sign rookies?
I'm sorry I haven't been funny. I am not a comedian. I am Lenny Bruce.

Munchlaxatives,
2nd Rd picks can be signed w/a rookie contract, but that is limited to 2 yrs. By using the MLE,the Rockets can give the rookie a bit more money, but more importantly can add additional yrs to the contract.
For 2nd Rd picks it takes away the chance to earn more money sooner, but gives security that most 2nd Rd picks get.
After Andersen,Chase and Taylor, the Rockets still have 41.9mil left of MLE. Unlikely to use it,but it's there.

41.9 million is like mutant Godzilla MLE. Where'd we get that kind of radiation?

  i know that is a typo error by tisbee but still funny :D

41.9 m probably being the total of Rockets' 2010 total salary bill (guaranteed contract)

With "Birdinger" signed, James White may lose his roster spot unless Rockets managed to trade Cooks or Barry.

Don't question Chase Budinger. We only accept him and his high level of plutonium in his blood stream.
