OT - Pacquiao vs. Mayweather

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Fri Dec 4, 2009 3:29 pm

The rumored March 13 date is looking more and more likely. Possible venues include the MGM Grand in Vegas, the Super Dome in Louisiana, and Jerry''s World in Dallas.

What do we have to do to get Reliant in on that action???

I don't think that I've been this excited about a fight in decades. Manny's going to take Money to the bank in this one!

No way the super dome gets this fight. MGM or jerry will win out with the bidding. It'll be hard to beat MGM though due to their long history with big fights.

I like Pacquiao and its crazy how a natural featherweight can beat welterweight champs and legends in boxing.

But I think that Mayweather is more elusive than pacquiao and he'll probably get a decision in the match.

You're smoking crack if you think Pacquiao is gonna take this one. Floyd Mayweather is going to counter the hell out him all night. It will come down to a desicion, because Manny has too much heart and a solid chin. However, Floyd is going to salt and pepper him all fight just like he did JMM. His speed, size, accuracy, and quick reflexes will prove too much for Manny in the end. I'm calling this one 8 rounds to 4, Mayweather.

I'm not gonna say who's gonna win....but you gotta admit Pacquiao is the better entertainer. Who wants to watch Mayweather run around the ring for 12 rounds? Sure it's his "strategy" but it's damn boring to watching. It's sad it's taken this long to get this fight together and there's no doubt if this goes to a decision, Pacquiao will win due to the judges favoring aggressiveness vs elusiveness. It will be a close fight and the one that is more aggressive will get the nod. Mayweather has never been the "fighter" in any of his big fights (save for the de la hoya fight b/c hoya was on the back end of his career). Even the de la hoya fight, though, mayweather was pacing his boring self.

only way Mayweather wins is if he runs a marathon backwards...and on points...

the moment he tries to stand toe to toe with Pacquiao its over...

but thats where I think the turning point of the match will be... one or the other will have been percieved to have lost the toe to toe blowfest for how ever long it last 1 or 3 rounds...

and then Mayweather will run backwards for the rest of the match...

and we will get a controversial winner

I hate Mayweather and I think it would be absolutely amazing if Pacquaio beat his tail all over the ring. Not sure its going to happen though.
