OT - what's your height, standing reach, and vertical?
I'm 6'0 and I think I have a standing reach of about 7'11 or 8 feet. I want to have a vertical test jump done soon because I'm really curious what my vertical is. I think I can jump up to about 9'9 which puts my vertical at about 21 inches...is everyone's vertical as poor as mine?

Currently, yes mine is likely even poorer. I haven't measured it in years, but I'd guess my vertical is more like 15 inches on a good day. So sad!
Oh well, I'm 44 years old, 2 ALC surgeries (complete tear) and haven't been playing recently.
In my 20's, I had a standing reach of 7'4" and could touch just over 10'5" making my vertical about 37 inches. Those were the days!
Don't be discouraged though if you feel your vertical isn't so hot. There is a lot more to playing well than athleticism. If you learn how to diligently position yourself properly, you can outplay a lot of guys who have the hops but not much work-ethic and/or know-how.
