Source?

Only article I found as of recent is that he will weigh his options at the end of the season. It says nothing about him opting in.

Regardless, Salmons is on a fairly reasonable deal, and I'd say around 10 to 20 teams would take him for some kind of package.

My source is the Chicago board. lol

If Salmon is not an expiring. I don't want him and his 37% shooting. Ariza already does that for us.

Chicago Board = Toronto Board

It's non sense. If Salmons doesn't opt out lets say, less teams will have $ to spend in 2011, and he will be a year older. If Chicago is going to fill up their roster next season with more players, where does that leave Salmons? If he barely plays, where does that leave his future.

6 million next year or a MLE type contract for 4 more years. I think he'd want the longer contract. Besides, I'd think at 6 million he can be a pretty good bargain if he produces the stats he does last year. He also is very trade-able if he doesn't fit.

I haven't looked at the salary figures, but what this trade appears to come down to is:

Usefulness of Miller for this season v Salmons salary impact on our ability to sign a big FA in the offseason.

Given that we:-

- are currently doing pretty well all things considered
- have a squad full of young, energetic, roleplayer types that ought to be VERY appealing to a true alpha-dog wants-to-win player, given the right $$$

I would say no to this deal.

Eddy Curry is also trade-able next year when his contract comes to an end. I don't see anybody trying to get him. Considering how god awful Salmons has played this season, i'll be pretty shocked if he decides to opt out.

If Salmons is not an expiring, i dont want him. No ifs or buts....

This is a terrible trade for the Rockets.
