What if the Suns offer:

Jason Richardson and Leandro Barbosa
for
McGrady and Budinger

You get two proven scoring shooting guards. Barbosa can run the point at times too. Barbosa is on a better contract at 7 mil. Richardson becomes an expiring next year and 14 mil goes off the books.

McGrady can come to our cure all fix it athletic trainers that rejuvenated Shaq, Hill, keep Nash going, etc.
Plus Budinger because he is like family to Steve Kerr and a Wildcat.

Don't like either Richardson or Barbosa.

Drop Budinger, or throw in Earl Clark to include Budinger...

I understand hating on Richardson a bit but Barbosa? Why? Sixth man of the year, great scorer. Above average defense, etc. One of the fasted players in the league.

Budinger's not leaving. He and Landry are off limits as far as I'm concerned.

Look, as I pointed out before, I personally don't think Rockets are going to find any takers on T-Mac nor would they find anybody right in return that won't mess up current chemistry.

McGrady is going to be a Jamaal Tinsley story. Like when Pacers told Tinsley to go home and not show up for a year (while getting paid), the Rockets are playing the same game here with T-Mac.

T-Mac is gonna go home and watch TV the rest of the season while getting paid to stay away.

why would TMac agree to that? He is playing for his next and final NBA contract so he has to actually show on the court what he is still capable of doing.

why would the Rockets want to put up with the media circus for another 6 months?

Yup, if you don't trade him it turns into a huge distraction, because he's not going to keep his mouth shut if he doesn't get any playing time, or if the Rockets don't aggressively seek a trading partner.

Good call on that one Pennypacker. How's the roller coaster business?

If Darko could still play, Darko/Hughes plus some cash or 2nd rounder might be the best for Rox. For the Bulls deal, supposedly they were asking for Scola and I wouldn't do it for Rox. If close to deadline still without a deal, then they would buy out TMac to save some money while giving TMac a chance to play 30 some games for next contract.
