You guys need to chill out with the Andersen hate. It's really annoying to visit and see yet another thread about why David Andersen sucks. I hate to tell you guys this, but he's a center playing 15 minutes a night on a team that HAS THEIR ALL-STAR CENTER IN STREET CLOTHES!!!!!! He doesn't suck, he's doing exactly what is expected of him. He comes in, commits some fouls, grabs a few rebounds, and scores his points. The guy was never going to be a double double a night or a rebounding machine. He doesn't do anything more wrong than anyone on the Rockets not named Landry or Lowry.

^^ truth . seems like most rocket fans expect too much of their players, prolly cuz they're sick of their 2 BEST PLAYERS ALWAYS INJURED! i konw im sick of that and i hope that changes start w/ a tmac trade before the deadline. but im not gonna hammer andersen, his first year in the nba, playing out of postion cuz there's no one else, only playing 10-15minutes, still productive, and this team is sposed to be a lot worse. i dont feel like explaining the whole daam thing about andersen but rox fans shoulda known wat the deal is gonna be w/ andersen. w/e, next year he's gonna make them eat their own bowl of ****

My only expectation of Andersen is that he doesn't suck completely on defense. So far he's not meeting that. His post defense is a thing of beauty.... if you're the opposing center.

aussie aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi

the only do 3 aussies but in my humble and honest opinion it sounds much better w/ a 4th aussie . if he does become a baller, whenever he makes a big shot or dunk he should scream that out. he'll bring in fans from australia and houston will have more money to spend on free agents :)

The Cowboys signify the bond between the great US of A and the wonderful nation of Australia.

as an aussie i want to apologise that you guys don't feel Andersen offers any value to your team. It;s a shame cause my biased opinion made me believe you guys thought he had some worth. :(

To be fair, i'm not only one who has openly expressed displeasure with Andersen. I'm obviously in the minority here.

His contract is guarenteed till next year. We'll see how he does then when he has one year of NBA experience under his pouch.

Anderson hasn't really bugged me much, he sucks on defense, but that was a given, when he's hitting his shot on the offensive end, it's a beauty to watch. I think he's just lacking some confidence at the moment, but for a player playing only 15 minutes a night, that is there to spread the floor and shoot the ball as a 7 footer, I really don't mind him right now. If this continues, then it's going to be a problem, BUT he's got some nice footwork and post moves, he just needs the ball to go inside the basket. His form and shooting touch look great, it just seems he doesn't look comfortable out there. However, I see this changing in the future as I can easily see him hitting those small jump shots.
