Why would Bosh take a chance on whether Yao can come back healthy or not?

I think it will be
Scola, Battier, Cook, and Ariza for Bosh and Derozan It works it give Tornoto trade chips and Expiring, we give up depth but we keep Landry and Brooks while still being able to deal TMAC

Is bosh even that good? Let's just say we do trade away Landry or even battier + others, does that really give us an upgrade that will get us into the playoffs and maybe 2nd round? And for what? 1 year?
Everyone says that it's "unrealistic" but the only way I'd even think about trading for Bosh at this point, is if Morey thought he would help us attract another big free agent this summer (assuming we could get Bosh to resign). What is probably going to happen is.....Wade resigns with Miami and Bosh would jet to wherever he is to join either him or with lebron wherever he signs. Basically Bosh will go where the talent is....not the other way around. =/

Bosh has always complained that he hasn't played with a true center. We will have that next year.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

"Is Bosh even that good?"
Yes and no. No,he's not a max guy you can build a team around. He doesn't dominate.
BUT.....he is extremely talented and would fit very well on the Rockets. His outside game and some ability to drive makes him a great fit w/Yao,as does his weak-side shot-blocking. He's tall/big enough you can play him at C for stretches. Seems to have the personality to really fit into lockerroom.
He would thrive in Adelman's high-post offense as he is a decent enough passer.
So no,he's not someone you build around, but he'd be a great fit in the Rockets scheme.
The catch is-and for some it's not a bug but a feature-the Rockets would most likely have to send Baattier in a trade. Remember a team can only trade for players it has roster spots for and the Raptors can only take back one more player than they trade away. So if McGrady's not included a likely trade would be...
Battier,Landry(or less likely Scola),Cook, the rights to LLull, cash and the 2010 First for Bosh and Weems.
Toronto gets a young, cheap PF who balances Bargnani(sp?),a promising PG(supposed to be second only to Rubio as far as young Euro PGs),an excellent trading chip in Battier, and a First to be used in trade or the draft. Plus some nice cash savings and depending on how deal is structered,a fairly nice Trade Exception.

I'm pretty sure he'd be convinced to stay, and even then, do teams around the league even have enough money to offer two players max deals? I've read articles were it's stated that it's pretty much impossible for NYK or Nets to sign LBJ or Wade + Bosh while staying under the cap limit.
I just don't think you could trade Landry away, I'd be fine with Scola, but I definitely wouldn't want Landry included in it.

I'm having deja vu about gutting the team for a premier PF. Ya'll know who I'm talking about. Is this really worth it? Is Bosh worth a MAX contract? Dude is softer than Yao.

Re: "Houston willing to deal for Bosh"
Well look at the positives about him:
- He's only 25 years old
- He's a fantastic rebounder
- Average defender, big highlight shot- blocker
- Terrific mid-range jump shot
- Athletic and quick
- And he's capable of being a 20+ PPG scorer on pretty effective numbers
- Plus side is like tisbee said, he fits Adelman's high post offense system terrifically, something Adelman had success with when he had Webber operating in the high post.
I think he'd be worth it, and IMO he's just about to hit his peak years.

Re: "Houston willing to deal for Bosh"
Bosh just had a game winner against sixers. Where did this trade originate from ? is there a source ? Morey is the type of guy that goes for under valued players who are under contract. Instead of Bosh . I wonder if its the same guys who started hinrich + thomas for bosh trade.
Do anyone where did this orginate from ? Did Morey same anyting about this ?

lies.
Scola + Ariza or Battier + Cook + Houston 1st or Anderson for Bosh. I'd throw in Lowry, but we should get back Jack in return.

Except, Barkley was ancient when we got him.

Bosh is a young 25 (younger than both Scola AND Landry).

I don't think it is worth making a deal for bosh. What's the guarantee that he resigns with us. And on top of that we have to give up landry or scola? I think ill pass

T-Mac + Cook to the Nuggets for Melo and Billups (That's 25 MILLION IN EXPIRING!!!)
We then trade Brooks and Ariza for Roy, after that happens, we'll sign Amar'e from the suns...JUST in time for Yao to return..
Billups/Lowry
Roy/CBud
Melo/Battier
Amare/Landry
Yao/Hayes
I don't think the Lakers or Celtics can stop us, well MAYBE the Celtics..

I'm sorry I haven't been funny. I am not a comedian. I am Lenny Bruce.

Yeah I was scrolling through the Raptors board and I saw numerous "I won't trade Bosh unless we get back Yao"

And they act like their team is one of the best because of their little streak, when really, they are just ONE game over .500. That's with superstar Bosh and Hedo. Plus, they play in the East... You put Bosh on the Rockets and we are contenders. Bosh on the Raptors is just mediocrity in the East.

Re: "Houston willing to deal for Bosh"
I wouldn't say bosh on the rockets are contenders......considering we'd lose something in order to get him. It's very hard to replace chemistry. It's good to see that some people on here realize that Bosh isn't that good of a player and that gutting our players now to get him isn't going to change anything. With or without Bosh, I still see us as a 5-8th seed playoff team, so why risk it? If he bolts in the offseason, then what?
I think Landry and co. deserve a little respect and loyalty for playing hard and giving us the winning record we have now. Look at New Jersey, they have decent players but they don't work hard and hence their record shows that. Our players are missing Yao and Tmac and look at how they are playing, busting ass every night.

Morey will have to force Bosh to sign a contract extension. But yes, Bosh won't come cheap.
