Trade Proposal with NYK

Post#1 » by MikeyMike » Fri Jan 29, 2010 10:26 am

I thought of this trade and wanted to know what you Houston fans thought about it. You obviously know your team better than me.

NYK Trades:
David Lee
Nate Robinson
Jared Jeffries
Cuttino Mobley

Houston Trades:
Tracy McGrady
Trevor Ariza

This trade works if Nate and Lee approve. Salaries also match and is approved in trade checker.

Mobley is expiring. Chandler is on a small rookie contract. Lee and Nate are also expiring but you might want to resign them if they fit on the team. Jefferies is MLE deal expiring next season.

So basically, if you can resign Lee...it would be like Lee and Chandler for Ariza.

You might not want/need Robinson seeing how he is an inferior version of Aaron Brooks.

Opinions? Comments? Suggestions? Discussion?

Fisher, remembered, “We weren’t sitting around waiting for something to happen to become one of the best teams in the league. We set out to become that.”

You mention Chandler, but he isnt in the proposal...

Plus, there is no way both Lee and Robinson agree to lose their bird rights

I don't think the Rockets want to give up anything for Iggy other than T Mac's expiring contract. I don't think it will work. :D

Wouldn't their bird rights be traded with them?

Not in this case.. Both were signed to qualifying offers in hopes to get a bigger contract this season...

This gives them a choice to agree or disagree to a trade.. If they agree, they would be agreeing to waive their bird rights.
