The 2010 Trade Deadline

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Tue Feb 2, 2010 11:12 pm

Who do you think will be getting moved?

Which teams will be buyers, and which will be sellers?

Who will be the biggest name to change addresses?

Is there a language barrier here, or are you actually insinuating Yao will be traded?

I would be really surprised if teams like Philadelphia and Washington do not make a cost-cutting move. Ya know with the whole Arenas thing in Washington. That trio is over imo. Wizards would be (Please Use More Appropriate Word) not to trade Jamison and or Butler for expiring contracts and youth or picks.

Philly on the other hand is freaking awful. They need more than a trade or two. THEY NEED PRAYER!! That organization is such a mess as well. Coaching style doesn't fit in with their players. They are crippled by expensive long term contracts that provide them with little to no flexibility at all. There is only one owner who could be crazy enough to take on Brand to get Iggy and his name is Mark Cuban. If I'm the 76ers, I wouldn't even demand youth in return (well Dallas doesn't really have any good young pieces anyways). Just go for expiring contacts and start over in the draft.

If I'm Philly I push for a deal with Dallas looking like this:

Philly trades: Iggy, Brand, Brezec

Dallas trades: Dampier, Howard, Beaboisis, Carroll

Return to Houston Rockets
