I don't think of him as highly as Bosh (but am fine with Scola) and thus wouldn't want to give up more than that. But I don't think he's a max either.

Right. Who's our sf if we get rid of Batt, Ariza, Budinger?

i think he means 'battier or ariza, budinger, 1st rd for JJ'. but the salary surely isn't going to work. will need to throw our own JJ in too if it's giving up either Ariza or Batt.

Me,I'm keeping an eye on Minn.
If they get the #1 pick, they have to take Wall. That frees up Rubio. And quite possibly a huge trade as Minn is not exactly happy w/Jefferson and Love.
Perhaps something like Martin to Minn,Jefferon to Chicago's cap room, rights to Rubio to Hou,Chi pick or future First(s) to Hou/Minn. Brooks to Portland for Rudy Fernandez.

So Houston gives up Martin and Brooks.... for Ricky Rubio and maybe a 1st? :banghead:

We have a lot of assets that would be of interest to other teams, a lottery pick, young players like Budinger and Hill. Veterans like Battier, and even those Knicks picks which could be potentially very valuable if they strike out. Jefferies also becomes an expiring contract, and as we've seen, he's a serviceable late rotation player with his defense. It'll be interesting to see what Morey has up his sleeve for the off-season.

Z3snap,
Actually it would be Brooks,Martin for Rubio,Fernandez, maybe a First and a TPE of some $12mil. Think of the possibilies a TPE of that size creates in a market where some teams are desperate to cut costs-or for S&T options on second tier FAs. If you think Rubio will be the next great PG,it's a pretty good deal. If you don't,it would be very bad.

We know that Morey thinks very highly of Rubio and I wouldn't be suprised if Morey makes another run at him. Considering either/both Love-who isn't meshing w/Rambiss at all-and/or Jefferson is on the trading block,it's very easy to see the Rockets getting involved. And the Minn GM has shown he will trade.

Well I don't think I can question Morey, but I'm not big on Rubio. Martin for all his faults is an offensive juggernaut. I'm looking more for someone who can get guys the ball where they can score. Rubio is a lot of flash, and the Rockets already have that in Brooks. A true pg setting up Yao and Martin, assuming they're healthy, would make the Rockets nasty.

I don't think Joe Johnson should be a target. He's a ball dominant wing, and Atlanta isn't going to swap him for Martin. Besides, the Rockets already tried pairing Yao with a point forward, and it didn't really result in much.

I think Shinn might be looking to shed some salary. If that's the case the chances of getting CP3 double.
