yes brooks has improved alot on offense and overall game lately. Probably because he's played with the new lineup longer.

Well I guess now I can say what Rockets fans have said every season of the Yao Ming era. They'll be really good next year, wait til next year. It's not all Yao's fault by the way.

One thing is for sure, they've shown proven that effort goes a long way. The Rockets were not in the middle of the pack talent wise this year for most of the season.

Ariza has really played better down the stretch. 15/5.5/4 on the season, with improved shooting percentages. I hated him at the beginning of the season, but now I've come to tolerate him.

It was a bittersweet season, we had our moments, played hard, but our defense was putrid, and we're among the league leaders in most leads blown to lose a game. If we could have closed games out better, it's possible we could have even slipped in, though winning over 50 games would have been a hard task to accomplish. For what we had, we exceeded expectations, and there's "always next year," but I honestly don't know what to expect since that's been such a loosely thrown around phrase these past couple of years.

I think the defense will be a lot better next year IF Yao is actually out there and with Hill playing a full season and hopefully continuing to improve his game. Chuck is a great defender but after him we had nobody to defend the paint at all this season(Anderson?).

Closing games out might hopefully not be as huge of an issue either with a healthy Yao/Martin combo getting other teams into the penalty early and getting to the line down the stretch consistently. Then again, the idea of either of them staying healthy is pretty much just a wonderful dream.

Still, even just with what we have right now(and that's before Morey works his magic), I like the potential of a Brooks/Martin/Ariza/Scola/Yao starting lineup with guys like Lowry/Budinger/Battier/Hill/CHUCK HAYES: LEGEND coming off the bench, though I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of those guys gone through a trade of some sort(hopefully Budinger if any of them, I really want to see us keep Hill and re-sign Lowry, and I would be quite sad to see Suga Shane go).
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.
