Toronto would no doubt love to dump Turk, but I think that trying to force Turk into any trade is going to actually decrease what they get back especially in terms of first round picks. One thing that has been consistent in the NBA for several years is that you have to give up first round picks to dump bad salaries.
That depend how much Brian Colangelo think Hill and those picks are worth. Remember he aint stupid like Donnie Walsh. He's going to try to dumb Turkoglu's bad contract. If we are not willing to take it, he can find some team that will -- like New York. Also depend on how much Morey and his companies can convince Bosh coming here.
You have to remember that if a deal can not be worked out.. Bosh can walk for Miami, Chicago, or NY. He might lose that 30mil or whatever, but that still puts Toronto in a situation where they lose him for nothing instead of getting back a few picks and a young player. And I HIGHLY doubt ANY team will take back Turk.
How many times have any of you seen a professional athlete leave $30 million on the table?
It's a very rare occurence. Bosh has said all along he will work with Colangelo on a sign and trade if he leaves. He would be pulling a T-Mac (Toronto era) by reneging on that. Bosh is way more classy than T-Mac, I highly doubt he does that. Of course the $30 million is more of the reason why I think he goes somewhere in a sign and trade.
I don't think Morey takes back Turk. How would he fit? Turk sucks, unless he has the ball alot. Yao will need the ball. Bosh needs the ball (and holds it forever when he gets it), K-Mart needs the ball, Brooks isn't a spot-up-shooter, etc.
I think Turk is a hideous fit in Houston even if Houston didn't have Bosh.
Calderon probably makes more sense unless he is moved for Rip Hamilton or Corey Maggette (some Raps fans think those are the two most plausible Calderon trades).
I could see Calderon being included along with Battier (bought out to return to Houston), Jeffries, Hill, Lowry, 2012 Knicks pick and right to swap with Knicks in 2013 + draft rights to Llull.
