Lior Eliyahu

Post#1 » by LookingAround » Thu Jun 17, 2010 10:05 pm

Lior Eliyahu belongs to Caja Laboral, or Baskonia, Scola's previous club, and as far as I know he has a contract for 3 more years, with exit to the NBA only after the next season.
As European basketball fan, I wish he will stay at Europe, but nobody asks me and his NBA rights belongs to your team.

Here I made summery of his show at the championship game of the ACB. He finished as the top scorer with 18 points, but would have 20 and the championship basket if goal-tending would be called (and IMO it should have been called!)

This victory completed a huge sensation. Barcelona was amazing team the whole year, many thought it would finished 3-0 to their favorite. Nobody thought that it would go exactly the other way, including 2 victories of Baskonia at Barcelona.

Lior was injured most of the season. He played with the injury a lot of games because his injury was lighter than of the other players in his position, but at the end of the regular season and the beginning of the playoffs he got a rest. He returned for the semi-finals and had some good games, most of them in a limited time.

Highlights from 5th game against Real Madrid at the semis:

Your English is just fine. Thanks for the update on Lior. I think he would be the perfect backup SG for the Rockets team we have now. I wish there was some way we could get him over this year.

4 things:

1. Terence Morris couldn't play defense with the Rockets and some things never change. He was getting jacked up.

2. Lior needs about 15 pounds of muscle.

3. NBA games need live bands. Way more fun.

4. Why was the band playing "When the Saints Go Marching In"?

**self-edit** oh wait. I get it. Saints. Spain. Knee deep in Papists. Carry on.

Didn't need to, with Terence Morris doing his best imitation of a drunken toll booth operator.
