OT: Movie Remakes

Instead of my 5 favorite movies I'm just going to list my five favorite Comic Book Movies

1. The Dark Knight - simply perfection
2. Batman Begins (and I'm not even a big Batman fan!)
3. Superman II
4. Iron Man
5. X-Men II

They are making a green lantern....ryan reynolds is the lantern. He would have been a better Flash IMO but whatever. They better not mess it up. JL would be awesome too but I wish they would just come back with the cartoons. JL was probably the best american animation in a while and not many people have even watched it. JL unlimited was so-so but the 1st 2 seasons of JL were good.

There is a new cartoon coming out called "Young Justice" that focuses on Robin and some of the other younger heroes. The way it is being described it will be like Justice League a bit.

2 quick things:

1) There is a Red Dawn remake coming out soon. I hate this.

2) The next Christopher Nolan Batman movie is scheduled to come out in early 2012. It's in pre-production now.


I'd love to see a new take on the Last Starfighter.

Meh. Looking back now they can only improve in terms of quality and believability

I have to admit, I just realized how dumb the plot was after watching it again with friends a couple of weeks ago.

I have avoided watching it because I want to preserve my young child love of the movie!

You lie, sir. X-Men II was absolutely brilliant. It was 3 that sucked.

Really pissed me off, too, because that shot of Phoenix in the water at the end of 2 had me literally bouncing in my seat.

Crap...forgot about V. That would kick X-Men off the list.

There are some other comic-based movies that I can't think of right now. Not the obvious, cape & tights ones. Man, my memory took a real beating with the McGrady Trade Drinking game...

As for Sin City - didn't like it at all. Never liked the comics, either. Didn't think much of Watchmen, either. again - wasn't a big fan of it going in.
