Loss of explosiveness big time. If he doesn't learn to take a limited role, he's likely seen his last days in the NBA. If he does learn to take a limited role IMO he can be a vital Grant Hill like player, because he's got the skill-set to definitely do it, just his thought process is all screwed up.

Why would he sign with Detroit (or vice versa) b/c nobody else wants him! If the team that says "we need shooters" signs keith bogans, you can only imagine how his workout went. Keith bogans hahahahhahahaha

i dont like this deal w/ tmac, he's already proved he can still play, but hes going to detroit. as a fan i want him to get to the 2nd round before he retires but that cant happen anytime soon w/ detroit. hopefully he has a better year in detroit and then gets a deal w/ a good playoff team.
of corse detroit can change their roster and be a playoff bound team in 11-12, they better trade at least rip or prince, cant have both

Small Forward
Tayshaun Prince
Tracy McGrady
Austin Daye
DaJuan Summers
Center
Ben Wallace
Greg Monroe*
Jason Maxiell
Power Forward
Jonas Jerebko
Charlie Villanueva
Chris Wilcox
Point Guard
Rodney Stuckey
Will Bynum
Shooting Guard
Richard Hamilton
Ben Gordon
Terrico White*
* Rookie
I did not clamor for T-Mac, but the Pistons have him.
Barring a trade of Hamilton and/or Prince, Detroit appears to have a starting lineup of Stuckey, Hamilton, Wallace, Jerebko, and Prince.
The principal reserves are: Gordon, Bynum, T-Mac, Villanueva, Monroe, and Maxiell.
T-Mac is apparently determined to prove himself to doubters and to stay in the NBA. He's so determined, he agreed beforehand to be a reserve. He's already ahead of Iverson. It's said that Will Bynum and the Bulls have reported him as physically fit. If Pistons trainer Arnie Kander signs off on him, he toes the line, and plays reasonably close to his previous level, he is a steal.
The Pistons bench is potentially explosive with Gordon, Bynum, T-Mac, and Villanueva.
And Greg Monroe has been looking good with a back-to-the-basket game, a solid mid-range shot, playing in transition a la LaMar Odom, and excellent low post passing ability a la Bill Walton.
I'm watching to see what additional moves are made and how everything gels on this year's Piston team.

pistons stay healthy they can get the 8th seed or maybe even 7 (bobcats losing felton could be huge), but daam they have so many trading pieces, how can they not make at least one trade before the deadline? if monroe is gonna be their future post scorer then they definitely have to trade for a defensive big.

Getting a defensive big is high on Dumars' to-do list.
He made an offer to Jordan of Hamilton/Prince and young talent for Tyson Chandler. But Jordan turned him down and took a worse deal with Dallas. IMHO, Jordan is still embarrassed over the Stackhouse for Hamilton trade and overthought things.
Dumars was interested in Brendan Haywood, but he got priced out of range thanks to the crazy deals to Amir Johnson and Darko Milicic.
Dumars wants to make a deal, but the right one hasn't materialized yet.
It's interesting to see how the rest of the East is overlooking Detroit. I'm waiting for training camp and preseason to see how the pieces start to mesh.

ya thats bad, bogans is in his 30s too, he's more fit for a 2nd backup than a main backup. w/e, i'll bet money that tmac can at least be a solid backup wing for detroit

I wondered that, too.
From what I dug up, T-Mac told the Chicago media he should be a starter rather than a backup to Brewer and Deng. The Bulls said he checked out physically, but they decided to go in another direction.
With Detroit, T-Mac said he was willing to be a backup to Prince and Hamilton.

Glad to hear that.
I hear that all Dumars and Kuester want is for T-Mac to be a contributor rather than a go-to player.

T-Mac Detroit Interview
MLive.com has posted T-Mac's interview with 1130 AM in Detroit, asking him about his condition and why he picked the Pistons.
I'm waiting to see what happens this season, but T-Mac isn't coming across to me as a diva.
He sounds like a grounded guy.
How was he in Houston?

he was kinda a diva when he got here, but it wasnt much of a bad thing, i didnt think it did anythign bad to him or the team. it got bad last 2 years w/ us.
so far he's been pretty good, not stirring up anything. he can be a daam good player if he accepts w/e role given and of corse stay healthy. arguably the best bench player along w/ lamar odom. all depends on his health and his "diva ego"

Re: Do you folks *still* want Tmac?
Bulls: "We need a backup SG"
Tmac: "I want. I can prove it. Look at my workout"
Bogan: "I want. I can prove it. Look at my workout"
Bulls: "Thank you for the workout. Bogan you are taken"
Losing to Bogan is just embarrassing, but pretty much sums up the workout result.
Workout did the talking.
