The way I see it is that the Nuggets have all the leverage in the world. The new CBA comes out next year and if Melo doesn't sign an extension with the Nuggets, he's going to lose alot of money. That's why, if Melo says he wants to go to Houston, the Rockets are going to have to give up some quality talent because if they don't, then the Nuggets will let Carmelo and Kenyon expire to free up cap space.

wrong.
first off, houston would match with expirings, but either way draft picks and young prospects are much more important

teams are beginning to see that cap space won't do you much good unless theres incentive for the player to go there. new york spent years savin that cap space and despite what they say they definitely are disappointed with their summer.

denver wont be that appealing with free agents gone. if they know they're giving up carmelo they're not gona care about keeping nene around or staying competitive. theyre gona want the best picks and prospects out there

Uhh...what prospects do the Rockets have? Jordan Hill? Chase Buddinger?

I think they would rather get Randolph and Gallinari.

Seems like the New York fans are trying to placate themselves while waiting for the Anthony situation to resolve.

I've decided that I'm not against Anthony - assuming I can get over him seeming like a complete punkasbotch. (Wicked circumvention, or Shakespearean in its creativity? You decide!)
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

Or they can get prospects, a solid starter, cap space, and picks for the future. Besides randolph and gallo do nothing for them defensively(well ant blocks shots) but besides that??? Yes we need to trade talent but four starters? Come on now, we aren't going to trade four starters from our winning team to get back potential good pieces + mello. You also forgot about chemistry, even if the players we did get back from the trade could end up playing well together how long would it take them? In the west you don't have time to take a game off let alone wait multiple games for a team to mesh. Oh and lol @ your comments on brooks...... I bet you the pistons would trade any of their players straight up for brooks if they could.... ab>anyone on your team

exactly, cap space only means something if the players are actually going to come, clearing all this space is overrated......

Cap space that goes to waste cos no one will want to go + no draft picks and additional young talent at all.... yup, Denver sure seems to have alotta leverage...

And yes you'll be giving away four starter but you're also getting a superstar and a very solid starter at the two. Not to mention you have 3 PGs that have potential to start. Your biggest worry is Scola, but for Melo? I would give him up.

Where should I start with this statement? First of all Stuckey is not nor has he ever been better than Brooks..... EVER! Were you even serious about that? No team in the league would take your pg over ours. Second why would we give up Brooks (20/6), Battier (top defender), Martin (20-25/4), and Hill (young talent), for a has been on a bad contract (Hamilton), a stupid, unstable, headcase (JR), a very poor man's Scola (Bynum), and Anthony who would be the only good part of the trade. I won't even comment on that garbage second rounder. Our team would be worse after that trade! Carmelo is a good player, but he isn't brining much more than Martin alone, so why would our intelligent GM be (Please Use More Appropriate Word) enough to commit team suicide for him? There is really nothing on the Pistons roster that the Rockets really need, so this is all pretty much useless talk anyway.
