Yao's return closer

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Tue Aug 24, 2010 10:53 pm

After today's media event, Yao has been cleared for increased basketball activities.

I like that they are not rushing him. Yes, I am sure that everyone - including Yao - are anxious for him to get back out there; but there is no need to overwork the guy in November & December. I stand by my hopes that he will not see more than 20 minutes a game - if that.

Adding Miller and having Hayes & Hill on the roster I think that the C position can be manned effectively to allow Yao the luxury of not having to endure too much too quickly.

I think it would be hard to mixup the pasty white guy with the Chuck Wagon. I am sure you are joking though

Should i be concerned that the Chuck Wagon seemingly was able to score at will against Yao from all over the court?

he's gonna take scola's starting gig, which means yao wont have to play defense by himself. hayes better work on his vertical, a lotta shots are to be blocked w/ his name on it

No. The thought of Chuck Hayes becoming a steady offensive force has blown my mind to the point that previously held notions of "race" are no longer applicable to this new reality.

In this Brave, new world, roxfashoballin just wants a "Big Guy." ;)

Good one on Yao, and he clarifies his "retirement" comments

Chuck wagon shooting half court shots, emphasis on shooting not making

Good to see Chuck expanding his range beyond the arc. I think my 16/9 prediction may be a tad conservative....

I saw flashes of Pierce with all those shots Chuck was hitting (complete with the trademark step-back jumper). Throw Chuck's name into the running for MIP...

Chuck is built too much like a tank. He's gonna blow his knees if he tries to play like a player of his height. So no Paul Pierce comparisons.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but I forgot how damn good Yao is in the post. I'm hyped for next season.
