Looking at the stats, Martin at SF is better than I thought.

In 08-09 he played 8.5% of his minutes at SF, scoring a PER of 25.9, while his opponent counterpart had a PER of 'only' 15.3. At SG it was PER 21.3 to PER 16.4. Same pattern last year for the Kings. SF: 22.1 to 16.4, SG: 18.7 to 16.0, playing 10.5% of his minutes at SF.

Jeffries played zero minutes at SF last year. He's too slow and more importantly there's no spacing whatsoever with him with him out there on the wing, which his numbers of 08-09 backup. He played 56.3% of his minutes at SF, scoring a PER of 9.7, while his opponent counterpart had a PER of 16.7.

Courtney Lee is also capable of playing a little 3 here and there (08/09 12.8% 13.0-16.6, 09/10 5.2% 21.3-14.5).

since jeffries has never been on a team where he isnt the 1st or 2nd best defender, i'd give him a chance w/ a HEALTHY rockets team. he's always in a role where he has to do too much.

Better now than later I guess. But if history repeats itself, it's only the beginning...

Playing people out of position is known to dramatically increase their efficiency. (x-'s post aside... I don't drink the PER juice)

you wont' ever see: "Hayes out for 4-6 weeks due to mod/severe ankle sprain"
or Miller...

One time, I somehow sprained my ankle so badly that I was in a cast for 3+ weeks - off a 6 inch hop with no one else around.

Taping your ankles is always good practice.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor
