Damn.

There goes two years' worth of "I vill crush you" jokes. Oh well. Looks like Dampier's back at the front of the line.

Why in the world would anyone seriously consider living in Milwaukee? Has to be the $.

what's wrong with milwaukee?
after living in texas for more than 20 years
i don't mind moving to a different state for a year or two

Forget Dampier and just trade Jordan Hill to the Clippers for DeAndre Jordan.

DeAndre is 6'11 in shoes and 250lbs with a 7'6 wingspan and 9'5.5 standing reach
J Hill is 6'10 in shoes and 235lbs with a 7'1.5 wingspan and 9'0 standing reach

DeAndre is in the final year of his contract paying him $854,389
Hill will be paid $2.6m this year and the next two years are team options at $2.8m and then $3.6m

Hill blocked 21 shots in 47 games last year
DeAndre blocked 62 shots in 70 games last year and had 59 blocks in 53 games his rookie year

DeAndre's career high in rebounds in a game is 20 in his rookie year and he also had a 15 rebound game last year. His career high for blocks in a game is 6.

Hill's career high in rebounds in a game is 9 which he did 4 times last year. His career high for blocks in a game is 5

DeAndre's career high in points is 23 in a game which included 10 dunks vs the Lakers in 2009.
Hill's career high in points is 15

Why the Clippers do the deal: Hill has bigger upside potential than DeAndre and higher trade value being a former #8 pick. Also he's under team options the next 2 years while DeAndre will be a UFA after this year and could walk away for nothing in return.

Why the Rockets do the deal: DeAndre is bigger and longer than Hill and more of a tradional center. He is a much better shot blocker too. DeAndre is also a full year younger than Hill. He's from Houston so that might help in re-signing him after the season.

Not even looking at the deal.
You're talking a 1-1 player swap for two guys that play the same position.

I don't know which player is better, but one of those teams will have to be run by an absolute imbecile, and Dunleavy left already.
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

jordan is a perfect defensive big who has good potential. could be a solid backup pf/c. he has the size. forget offense we have plenty of that. i'd rather have him than hill. he played better in the 2nd half of last season too. hill is more of an offensive type.

Well, sir, I know what you mean. I went to school in PA. I got very tired of the "Did you ride a horse to school" questions. But seriously, it's Wisconsin. I'm not hatin, but who wants to move to Wisconsin outside of people originally from Wisconsin?

Basically DeAndre is a true center. Hill is a true power forward. We need a center.
We can get him if the Clippers are worried about him leaving after the season.

Bucks announce signing of free-agent C Brian Skinner. I'm told A) contract is non-guaranteed and B) MIL now out of Dampier hunt

So it's down to Toronto(?), Houston and maybe another team.

I'm pretty sure Dampier already knows where he wants to sign, but doesn't want to go to training camp. Veteran move.

Also, in a sense it's now Erik Dampier, Alexander Johnson or Ishmael Smith.

there must be something wrong with him that teams are turning him down not the other way around.
