You could see the difference Hill made with his size, and some toughness inside. It also marks his fourth straight game of scoring in double digits. Battier was terrific down the stretch, on BOTH ends of the floor, absolutely took over offensively, scoring what, 11 in a row? Hopefully we can get a bit more consistency in terms of his shot dropping from behind the arc. It's a good win, but still hard to get TOO excited considering our still crap record.

I know that the Lakers were on the 2nd game of a back 2 back. But as I have said a few times this year.....

A win is a win.

Who woulda thunk Battier would light it up in the last 2 mins.

Go Rockets. keep playing solidly like this, and we can start to claw our way back.

For 3 or 4 years, the Lakers-Rockets games were usually really good and tight, with plenty overtime and choked leads by both teams.

Anyone remember those days?

The game threads on this forum would go to 50+ pages.

ya, we're one of few teams that can hang with the lakers, even way back with steve francis. shane is one of the reasons we can do that. kobe himself said he's the best player to guard, and he usually brings his A game vs houston, lamar odom doing the same thing too.

With this win, Rockets have continue the trend of winning against a team that had beaten them previously this season.

Lost to Lakers 110-112. Now won 109-99
Lost to Warriors 128-132. Won 111-101 in 2nd meeting
Lost to Thunders 99-116. Won 99-98 in 2nd meeting

Next match is against Grizzlies will be the 1st time they meet this season. Then follow by Bulls. Rockets lost to Bulls 92-95 previously. Will be interesting this time.

Return to Houston Rockets
