Guys, Idk what yall think, but I'm ready for Yao to come back. We need a defensive prescence in the paint again. Even though we're winning more games, we are playing weaker teams and our defense hasn't been there. Maybe this is a positive sign.

the breaking noobs/brooking news on yao is that he's out indefinitely. never heard of that site, could be a sister site to hoopshype. i remember when tmac used to say he'll be back. ahh, those were the days

That's from the Chron...
If yao feels ok, he should do some 5 on 5 during practice. See how it goes. If he feels good. Let him play next week.

Let him play healthy for a few games, get his trade value up, and trade him for Yi and Arenas. Then trade AB for a solid big.

Wow the Griz are shopping Thabeet. He'd be good for this team.

he would be a great fit. A 7''0' guy to rebound and block shots is exactly what our teams needs. who knows, maybe his offense would develop with Adelman's style.

Possibly, but I'm content with Scola being the primary post player and using Thabeet for defense and rebounding. It would be nice to have another post player coming off the bench, but you can't get everything you want.

forget the offense, all we need is his defense/rebounding. he can get garbage points. there's only one more type of offensive player we need and that is a closer.

I can't believe you're serious about trading for an overpaid gimp.

Hasheem also played his one year of HS basketball in Houston so he's sorta local.
I would trade Hayes and Patterson for him.
Thabeet Goes On...We Got Thabeet...Thabeet It...Turn Thabeet Around...

Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Re: Yao Ming "Ready to Play"
The Rockets could also probably get Haddadi if they are interested. The Griz seem like they would be interested in trading him as well and he seems more polished than Thabeet offensively.

Re: Yao Ming "Ready to Play"
Let's trade Yao for Kwame Brown, that seems like a fair deal to me.
Good to see everyone around here has their crack pipe handy.
YAO IS UN-TRADEABLE. He is worth too much money to the organisation. How can Fans in Houston compete with the fans in China? You are outnumbered, what 200 to 1?
I wish he was healthy, and have dreamt of many scenarios involving a trade with him. But it won't happen.

Re: Yao Ming "Ready to Play"
I wish he was tradeable, cause I really don't think, and haven't thought since 2006, that we'll ever win anything with him as one of our main contract players without some serious good luck.
I still think we had the talent and chemistry in 2007-2009 to make some noise, but then the good luck portion reared its head.

Re: Yao Ming "Ready to Play"
I don't even get excited about this sort of news anymore. Even if he were going to come back soon, it's only a matter of time till he's out of the lineup again, whether that's due to a back to back, or ANOTHER injury, most likely the latter.
