I agree with most of what you said.

Morey's said that they're interested in signing Yao to an extension (even with Yao's uncertain health), breaking team policy "because Yao is special." After that statement, Brooks probably thought he should be special, too! LOL. Well, reality check, Brooks, you ain't Yao.

Did Lee complain about reduced PT because Adelman gives Brooks undeserved minutes? Did Martin complain about not playing in the 4th because Adelman was trying to keep Brooks happy even though it was costing the team wins? No, they acted like pros. Brooks didn't. End of story.

Good luck with the rest of your career in Sac/Minny, Aaron. You'd be the perfect complement to baby DeMarcus.

No doubt the details of the contract may be points of contension given Yao's uncertain health, but the main holdup right now is that Yao simply isn't sure what he wants to do yet. Morey not wanting to give out extensions as a rule isn't the problem here, so Yao is a different situation from all of the other players not getting extensions. The team is obviously very worried that they will lose Yao for nothing at this point and wants to lock things down, but it takes two to tango.
