I think we'll get some n00b coach from the college rank. He'll be Morey's yes man and play whoever the organization wants him to play.

You will have Kerr, the biggest Dragic supporter, running the show. Kerr was the single person pushing most for the drafting of Dragic. Once he left Phx, Suns did not believe in Dragic.

That's great, except Kerr has no coaching experience, and we have to focus on the Rockets, not Dragic...

for me, the coach doesn't have to be from winning franchise or been assistant for long time or believe in defense
i just don't want a stubborn head coach
i want one that will listen to other and can adjust
i read an article earlier this year about pop
reason why san antonio won more game this year is because he changed
he no longer sit player down when you made a mistake
he allows more freedom instead of keep running his playbook plays
i believe we need coach that will allow young players to play and make mistake
cause you learn from your mistake
we can't have a stubborn coach for rebuiding

so adelman, jvg, svg are out

Not a fan of Brian Shaw. Don't think he's ready. In fact I'm not sure he ever will be.

That said I do agree. Scratch SVG off my ealier list. I think he's one of the better choaches in this league, but he's too stubborn, runs a highschool offense and is mentally weak.

As for the Spurs, I think the biggest reason they are winning is because they're healthy. Pop still sits his players down if they're making mistakes, though probably not as long as he used to.

I also think defense is important, but there gotta be a balance. No Mike Brown, JVG offense.

I think our assistants are pretty good, though I sure woudn't mind Mario Elie added to the mix. Not sure about him as the HC.

To sum it up I would look for a young coach that has some fresh ideas, but is open minded, somebody Morey can work with, somebody who runs a good offense, though doesn't forget about defense (a la D'antoni), somone who's calm enough not to show emotion, when frustrated, unless it's necessary to wake the team up.

I think pop is successful because he's versatile. Normally coaches in the pop mold don't play young players but he does not hesitate to when he thinks they're ready. Hill, Blair(not that this was debatable, it was highway robbery getting him in the 2nd round), and now gary neal have all stepped and had big roles for the spurs early on in their career. As far as brian shaw goes umm I think I'll take kobes side on this one and say hes ready. Kobe has already said that if phil ever leaves shaw should be a lock for the job. I also want someone who is open minded, somewhat of a players coach. I really wish we could've had thibodeau(spelling) but obviously thats not gonna happen.

Man--know who I think really fits the bill here (even though he's not quite "young" anymore...)?

Kobe says a lot of stupid stuff, so I won't put too much stock into that, but after watching a couple of Brian Shaw interviews, I might have underrated him as an individual. Not sure why I was so down on him. Seems like a eloquent and bright guy. The triangle stuff scares me a little bit, but add him to the list of people I'd consider.

It's gonna be Drexler.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Brett Brown.

He has been a San Antonio Assistant, and was also the coach of my Australian team, the North Melbourne Giants.

He has done extensive work with the Australian National team, and is a great coach. Sometimes this league needs new faces in the coaching box. The game has changed so much.

I would like to see Chris Jent here in some cap[acity as well.

i miss the defensive rockets. i have respect for adelman, one of the best coaching careers in the history of the nba. it's not his fault yao and tmac declined the way they did. but at the same time i missed the defensive rockets JVG and thibodeau molded here in houston.

Love Drexler but leave where he is. He makes game bearable when the games are not.

Lawrence Frank is a no to me. He was bad in New Jersey and sure it was the Nets but he was almost historically bad in New Jersey. Still think it should be someone new and has not been given a chance. I also think it is Brain Shaw's time to get a head coaching job. Heres to hoping that Phil's chick keeps him there one more year and we sign him to be the next head coach. To me no one seems more qualified, capable, or deserving of a head coach spot. Also I don't want Morey to get someone that he can mirco manage but rather work with.
