Pat had the Spurs worried every time they drove the lane. His stat line does not tell the tale; he was beastly. Pat changed so many shots, got to so many 50/50 balls, and was just hustling all over the place, it was ridiculous. The Momentum sat the bench with Pat. Chuck, god bless him, came in and Spurs eyes lit up with glee; they ran in with no fear. there were at least 3 times they drove in to get buckets with Chuck waiting for a charge were as Pat would have jumped for it.
Adelman should have kept Pat in, but we probably still lose and ask why Chuck wasn't in the game.. sigh...

Re: GAME #67: Rockets Vs Spurs
Tough Loss...
Some thoughts...
I don't understand why PPat didn't get in late. Chuck aint going to get calls over Tim anyways. Chuck got scored over by Tim, and had atleast one clear layup put over him as well. Ppat was beasting it and I just don't get why he wasn't in (well i do get it, chuck being a great post defender, captian of the team in one of the biggest games of the year, but still). I'd bet PPat would have grabbed some big rebounds late....lee would have never been able to give the refs a chance at making that call on Duncan. Ppat was part of the crew that got us back in it in the third...why take him out. Also....Chuck has got to stop trying to create offense....everytime he trys to go to the hoop it ends in a fast break for the other team....he should just be OK with put backs, back door cuts, and not bunking lay-ups. I'm a huge Chuck fan but its painfully obvious when he's playing beyond his means. And honestly you can't trust him at the line....chuck hitting those free throws late was unexpected (i'm usually muttering just get one, atleast one).
I did hate the reffing but you got to admit...kmart practically swings his arms into people so we can't complain too much, although we clearly weren't getting any favors...and all of san antonios whistles were when we were right their and were all kind of back breaking and questionable....just don't understand why you call ticky tack foals late that are game changers...it's always (or supoosed to be) decided on the floor late in games.
Anyways tough loss...Mondays game is El Night Out or whatever 45 bucks for lower level with a beer and nachos included....should be fun...I hope they have a AB highlight reel before the game. Viva Los Rockets I guess.

Oh and Brad Miller can simply do nothing on defense. And he is getting way to cute with his passes. The pass where he left the ball for martin to go get slowed that play by half a second....other games his feeds are just way too tigh and forced...it's nice that he can get them there but when the person is out of position and isn't expecting it he isn't really helping the team. The guy can't run out, can't drive, can't scramble for boards, can't jump, the three's he makes for us are negated two fold by whats happening at the other end....he doesn't even get vet calls.

Miller might be the worst player in the NBA right now. Oh, and nice way to make things fair Stern....there is a reason why the NFL is more popular....
RIP Peter Steele. Kyle Lowry is a monster

Didn't see the game, but my position on Brad has been the same since the Rockets first signed him. I would rather see Thabeet get all of his minutes. There's no need to give Brad any minutes on this team. Adelman would rather be stubborn and give minutes to vets who don't deserve it than play a guy who could actually get off the ground and block a few shots.

Tough loss.
I was against the Brad Miller signing from day one, but saying he might be one of the worst backup in the league is nonsense. He's still one of the better backups and wasn't the reason we lost the game, even though he didn't play particularly well. Playing Thabeet over him woudn't do anything good.
I actually enojoyed the game quite a bit, even though we lost. Believe it or not, but the future is bright.
Dragic still gets out of control a little too much and at times is a bit too ball dominant, but so far he's played much better than I thought he would. I'm starting to get confident with him as the backup of the future.
Hill still is one of the most frutrating players to watch. The guy has so much unfulfilled potential, he most likely won't ever reach. You get to see some flashes of brillance every now and then, but the fire/desire just isn't there.
I expect him to be traded by the minute somebody offers us something of decent value.
Patterson was awesome. Simply love that guy.
I thought it was interesting Alexander said he thought we had a couple of trades made, but the other teams ultimately backed out at the last minute. He also said they would have traded Budinger in one of those deals and not having traded him might be a blessing in disguise.
After reading the latest Chron articles, watching the Alexander interview on NBA.com and listening to him last night I'm pretty convinced he's not content with Adelman and wants a new coach. Too bad.
