It's always fun to let Jazz and Mavs fans know their team still has won as many rings as the LA Clippers.

Budweiser (U.S) Budweiser 5.0 % alcohol by volume or 10 proof
Budweiser Bud Light 4.2 % alcohol by volume or 8.4 proof
Budweiser Bud Ice 5.5 % alcohol by volume or 11 proof
Budweiser Bud Ice Light 4.1 % alcohol by volume or 8.2 proof

If your beer is 5.7% then that is only .2% difference from Bud Ice, is a .2% difference really considered weak? I'm only talking alcohol content here, not taste. I highly highly doubt anyone ever started drinking beer for the taste. You start because you want the buzz, so if Budweiser/Miller/etc are all mass produced (meaning you know it's not top quality) then you know the price will be the best for you when you start drinking. When you are in high school or college, you don't exactly have the best of jobs and asking your parents for beer money just isn't a common occurrence. So making fun of the taste of Budweiser is in the same boat as Fosters. Our best beers don't get exported all that much.

Fosters became kinda popular over here for one reason only. The big ass can. Great for Marti Gras. And once your drunk, does taste really matter any more? I used to start my drinking nights off with a shot of Goldschlager... it would then kill the taste of whatever was to follow for the rest of the night.

If you don't live in the states how many of these beers do you recognize? How many can you even get? Even if you do live in the US, how many winners do you recognize in the 79 categories?

Hating on Americans for beer isn't something we are ever really concerned about. Also being called a Yankee in a derogatory way... it's like being called a Whig Party or Flapper... it is really outdated and kinda goes back at the person saying it.

Perhaps we should start a Beer Exchange. I'll send over Aussie beer, (That's good!) and you can send over some of your weak as piss American stuff, and we can compare. Standard strength beer in Australia is usually 5.7% Beer is more precious than water in Australia.

Sounds fun but it all depends on what the cost is to send it.
