plus I don't like Harden's beard.

Not even after its cameo appearance in 300?

Also I mean skill/productionwise not draft order.

Well from 2009 alone I would take the following players before Harden
1. Blake Griffin
2. Tyreke Evans
3. Stephen Curry
4. DeMar Derozan
5. Jrue Holiday
6. Ty Lawson
7. Darren Collison
8. Marcus Thornton

and I hated "300" :)
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

woaaah people, we'll only take THE CHUCK WAGON or KYLE MU' F***IN LOWRY!!!

on a serious note, though(i'm bored so i decided to take this thread serious for entertainment haha)
...we have a tough spot because all the legit stars are gone, but i'll list some of my thoughts on who we should take..feel free to add input or mock me for bad ideas haha

HAPPY WITH THESE PICKS
-nene
-marc gasol
-horford
-amare(would be the obvious choice if not for his knee and contract)

WOULDN'T BE PISSED
-harden
-derozan(just because i like him as a player, even though i think the chuckwagon can shoot 3's better than him)
-iggy
-randolph(no d and not much hustle, but he's a legit number one option)
-granger
-kevin martin(yes, i'm serious...i know it's a reach and he's 28 and sometimes disappears in the 4th, but if you get players that fit around him he COULD be the scoring champ)

NO, UH -UH, NO!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT...HELL NO!!
-metta world peace or whatever his name is
-joe johnson
-rudy gay
-tyreke evans
-chris bosh(i don't want someone that soft as a first round pick)

I know this isn't real but lmao @ us building a whole team around james harden, marc gasol, etc. just because their contracts are more desirable and they have "potential". Welcome to the real gm rockets board, where we care about contracts and potential, forget production...........

The point was that there WASN'T any production left at the position we were at.

So you take the best contract/production mix left on the board - i.e. an underpaid big or efficient swing.

i think in round 2 we should pick none other than the man himself - KYLE MOTHA FU**IN LOWRY!

"eyo dawg! wuz hiz name again?"

"IT'S KYLE! KYLE MOTHA F**KIN LOWRY!"

"oh Kyle Lowry?"

"NAH N**GA! IT AIN'T KYLE LOWRY! IT'S KYLE! KYLE MOTHA F**KIN LOWRY!"

Probably in this order:
- Marc Gasol
- Marcin Gortat (perhaps the best non-superstar paid center in the league - but he's 27)
- James Harden (can't get a worthwhile superstar? at least get a young top-tier role player)
- Zach Randolph (moved down due to age)
- Iguodala (moved down due to age)

But again, that's assuming we don't take Chuck, which just wouldn't ever happen.

I can't figure out if he's laughing at me or with me.

Mind you, I do seriously think that Hayes and Lowry were our two best players last year, but if Hayes was on at something silly like say 6+m instead of sub-2m, he wouldn't be the incredible bargain that he has been (it's not possible that someone pays him that much... is it?).

Oh yeah, and Noah would be a really nice choice, too.

I say we go for a cyborg-Dikembe Mutombo in the second round to really even out our depth chart.

You people are idiots. Seriously.

You have the chance to steal Ryan Bowen, and you choose Deke?

I wash my hands of you all.
