Re: Terrence williams trade?
I'm torn on Tweeter at this time.
Part of me wants to see if there is any chance of him living up to his potential; but another part would just as soon move him now before his stock can plummet lower.
My ideal move for him at this time (barring him being a part of a bigger deal) would involve a 2012 draft pick, just so that we can get that flexibility to move trade around back.

^^ same here. if we do trade him, we need something good in return, not filler or scrubs or expirings. i dont mind trading for darko, i was one of the few pple who thought he'd turn out to be a solid defensive center. but minny wont do that of corse. so we'd need a 1st round pick, 2012 draft not 2013.

Re: Terrence williams trade?
We need cap space for 2012, extra picks hurts chance for two max players. 2013 pick would be better.

we never get big free agents so i dont think we're getting any of them. better off getting draft picks, 2012 is gonna be stacked draft

You stand corrected.

I'm in the same boat as majority. I don't know how much I particularly like him, but he has enough talent to warrant keeping him opposed to just trading him away. However, if we got a good offer that makes decent sense for the team, then I'd pull the trigger.

TWilly for magic Randolph is begging to happen.
both are immensely talented physical specimens that haven't figured it out
but are still young enough to take a calculated risk on.
TWil is the better player at this point but Randolph's size and the league's disparity of bigs should
make this trade pretty even.

We have 5 PFs on this team already.

Re the horde of PFs.
Hill may be a natural PF,but he's going to play C.
Morris they want as a SF.
DMo ain't coming over this yr.
And while I'd expect Hayes to be back,it's not guaranteed.
So we really have Scola and Patterson,w/Morris as a tweener and Hayes and Hill available, assuming Hayes is signed and they aren't the starting and back-up Cs.
Me,I would trade Williams for Randolph-and I really like TWill's skillset, just question whether he will ever use them in a team concept.
Randolph can play C,esp against the other rangy, mobile Cs(Jordan,McGee,Biedrins, can get off the floor and block shots(what a concept!),rebounds, runs and has a decent 15-20' jumper. His presence on roster would give the Rockets 3 young athletic bigs, and I'd like to be the team throwing waves of such players at opponents for a change.
It would give the Rockets a strong second unit of Patterson and Randolph and w/his outside shot, opening up the low-post for Morris as second unit SF.
Whatever theoretical congestion he would create among the bigs would be offset by clearing out the wings.
Martin,Lee and Bud are in the rotation. That would leave Williams and Morris fighting for minutes, esp if Dragic gets any time at SG.(And then there's Lee and Martin's chemistry and effectiveness late in season after Battier traded away and Martin saw time at the SF.)

Only if the entire season is cancelled.
"Rockets rookie Donatas Motiejunas returned to Italy on Thursday expecting to rejoin his previous team. Motiejunas expects to accept an offer from Benetton Treviso to resume his career there for the duration of the NBA lockout and perhaps through next season. Just a week after he joined the Rockets in a draft-night deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Motiejunas, 20, left Houston to resume training in Treviso. ‘I still have a contract with Benetton,’ said Motiejunas, the 20th player taken in the NBA draft. ‘They told me if I want to leave in the middle of the season when the team that took me, Houston, wants me, they would let me go. That will be no problem. That’s why I’m happy...."
