Oh man, I really hope that this is not serious.

Re: Chuck Hayes appreciation thread
considering what happened to Jeff Green, let's hope that Chuck's situation is not that serious. Hope he can play this year.
Btw, does anyone here remember Jason Collier? He used to play for the Rockets. I didn't know that he died 5 yrs ago due to enlargement of the heart. He collapsed while member of the Atlanta Hawks.

Hope it isn't career ending, get well chuck...but god forbid if he has to be out for a year or two could we hire him as an assistant coach or some other capacity? He can teach our bigs how to break down film of other bigs which I heard he was great at and show them correct defensive footwork and maybe show them his workout regimens?

Re: Chuck Hayes appreciation thread
Sorry to bump up old threads but I haven't posted on a regular basis in a while and I just had to post here.
It is a sad to see Chuck in another uniform. Definable an all-time fan favorite and I certainly wish him the best in Sacramento. Glad to see that his "Big Heart" won't prevent him from playing ball. It is unforntuante that we are obsessed with having a 7 footer. Sammy D is a BUM! I hope Sacramento utilizes Chuckwagon's talents.
Favorite Chuckwagon moment is definable watching him get his first career triple double. I was at that game!

This Sacramento thing isn't working out so well for the Wagon.

I hate to say it but i think we miss Chuck Hayes on offense more than defense.
Our "offense" right now in the half court set is a joke.

Re: Chuck Hayes appreciation thread
In a perfect world Chuck would have retired a Rocket.
I'm still mad we weren't able to re-sign him because of Dalembum.
I haven't been able to catch a Rockets game yet, but this wouldn't surprise me at all.
Chuck is one of the best passing bigs in the league. Without him and Brad Miller the Rockets wouldn't have been anywhere close to a top-5 offense last year.
You can't run a high post/read&react offense with Jordan Hill and Samuel Dalembert.
Scola is ok, but you won't be able to run last year's offense through Scola effectively on a consistant basis.

Yes, but then Chuck's contract got voided and although the Rockets were interested in bringing him back they had already guaranteed to terms with Dalembert, once Chuck got cleared to play.
I don't mind Dalembert for the money we got him for, but I'd sure much rather have the Chuck Wagon.

no i mean hayes is overall a better player than sam, only thing he cant do better is block shots. if we had darko at center last season we could've made the playoffs. you need shot blocking to make the playoffs.
