TI from a Bucks fan...

Post#1 » by tski1972 » Thu Jan 19, 2012 6:24 pm

...yes, there are really Bucks fans in the world. Anyway, I'm new to these boards and just wanted your take on this trade idea....

Milwaukee gets from Houston: Jordan Hill, C
Courtney Lee, SG
Houston's first 2012 1st round pick
from Cleveland: Antawn Jamison, F

Houston gets from Milwaukee: Stephen Jackson, G
From Cleveland: Semih Erden, C
2012 1st round pick
2013 1st round pick via Miami

Cleveland gets from Milwaukee: Andrew Bogut, C
Drew Gooden, F
from Houston: Terrence Williams, SF

Why for Milwaukee: We need to rebuild and Bogut is our biggest chip. Gives us a young C and most likely two top 15 picks in 2012.

Why for Houston: still will have two 1st round picks in 2012, while adding a 1st round pick in 2013. Can amnesty Jackson in 2013.

Why for Cleveland: they get a legitimate C to go along with their young core. Can amnesty Gooden in 2013

any thoughts?

sorry Bucks fan
this trade make no sense for Rockets
we are trading 2012 first round pick, Courtney Lee, Jordan Hill, Terrence Williams and we get what in return? Stephen Jackson, Semih Erden (who?), 2012 Milwaukee first round pick and 2013 Miami first round pick (late 1st round)
why Stephen Jackson? one more 10+ millions contract, no thank you
Milwaukee first round pick is good, even better if it's not protected
but not worth eating Jackson last year contract
Semih Erden, ok the Celtics backup center from last year, not better than Jordan Hill
don't really improve this team
definitely kill the cap space
no thank you

the pick traded to Houston would be Cleveland's which still gives you two 1st round picks in 2012 (most likely in the top 15-17), plus an additional 1st round pick in 2013. I tried my best to give you talent back, but the numbers were tight. I do realize you get the worst of the trade, but I believe you can amnesty Jackson in 2013, giving you cap space.

Thanks for the input regardless.

but the owner still need to pay
like i say the pick doesn't worth 10 millions
we also got New York 2012 first round pick (top 5 protected)
that already give us two mid 1st rounder next season
getting 2 more in 2012 will not help us
we already have too many we don't even have playing time for all
we have to send our last year lottery pick Marcus Morris to D League because there is no playing time
what we need is a star
in case you didn't know
we had four 2009 lottery picks and the one that get the most playing time is the 2nd rounder named Chase Budinger
so first round or lottery pick don't mean much
we need SUPERSTAR

I think we'd all like a superstar. Looks like you guys have a lot of the same problems the Bucks do.

If you're willing to part with Bogut how about :

Jordan Hill
Terrance Williams
Jonny Flynn
Marcus Morris
Knicks 2012 pick
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

give up Patterson instead of Morris and I'd do it. I'll even throw in Carlos Defino's expiring for you.

I think Morey would do it in a heartbeat.
while he hasn't played a full season since his rookie year, Bogut's missed games this season are not from injury

a Bogut/Scola/Dalembert front court rotation would be awesome

Bogut does have migraines which knock him out about 5-7 games a year. Other than that horrific injury he had 2 years ago, he's averaged about 70 games a season.

Bogut was born in 1984 and is younger than Deron Williams, Marcin Gortat, Andre Iguodala, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Kendrick Perkins.

Horrible. Take out C Lee thrown in Scola and Martin Exclude the Bucks for they have nothing I would want. Bring in Jamison to Houston.

Bogut is way better than Jamison.

Have a center and one that seems to better offensively and just as good on defense. Also Jamison contract expires after this year.

and that center probably won't be playing tomorrow. Would be nice to have 2 seven foot shot blockers (or three if you want to count Thabeet)

I think Scola would be perfect for the Bucks, alongside Bogut. But I don't know what they'd have to offer.
