Lee may not be considered a top 10 SG by anybody, and he will never be a 20ppg type player. and im not going to argue that he is better off getting 24 min a game off the bench. But you have to put things in perspective. Who out there is available at shooting guard? Outside Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade who? i want a SG that is not a liability on defense but can actually defend. Lee is not only a good defender but is also quick and creates turnovers. He hits his 3's, can drive to the basket, and hit mid range shots. Even though isn't a go to guy he has executed in late game situations. You have to put things in perspective and look around the league at available SG. (i won't list the obvious like Rip Hamilton, just a few important names)
Outside Wade and Kobe... there's Monta Ellis, liability on defense ala K-Mart. Joe Johnson, one of the better all around shooting guards, overrated and highly overpaid. Eric Gordon maybe? having injury issues though. Ginobili? Harden? Derozan is still young and has a lot of upside. I like Iggy but he's also overpaid. The rest of the starting shooting guards in the league, i really don't consider an upgrade over Lee. I know nobody is going to rank Lee in their top 10, but guys like Marcus Thornton, Wes Mathews, Nick Young, J Rich, etc... these guys aren't much of an upgrade over Lee if at all.
As I said, I'm not arguing the fact Lee is better getting 24 min off the bench, but to put in perspective were getting good value from Lee as our starting shooting guard. Our starting 2 spot is upgradeable but there's not a lot of players out there that is a better option than Lee. I know what a 15-20ppg SG look like but won't put effort on the other end of the floor. Its not a recipe for success. As i said i like iggy, but $14 mil is a lot for iggy and iggy can't shoot. Unless there is a better 2 than Lee, were better off getting a scorer and giving him the role of being an offensive spark off the bench.

Re: Rockets (32-26) vs Suns (30-28): Playoff Push
thank you hornets
i agree 100%, also dragic hes good but not amazing fantastic superstar they need to be careful and not overpay like they did with scola he was similar oh hes a terrific player and right now he looks very overpay small and old
i think the coaches are doing a bad job 1) dalembert should be the starter and not camby i just think camby can bring more energy coming off the bench dalembert is not that kind of player 2) dragic and lowry at the same time does not work too small and you have 2 guys playing the same position dragic is a 1 not a 2 3)the plays after timeouts are very bad after a timeout you should get an easy shoot atleast a good look at the basket and the rockets are doing the opposite
can you guys imagen if we lose both games against denver

We lost because McHale failed to see we can't continue to play Patterson and Scola for long stretches...
WE HAVE TWO CENTERS!!!
You have to play Dalembert more than 4-5 min and thats why we lost two games in a row at home.
Scola has gone cold again.
Start Lowry he gets the team going better than Dragic.
and PLEASE give Dalembert at least 15-20 min

Re: Rockets (32-26) vs Suns (30-28): Playoff Push
I wasn't able to catch the game last night, but the problem is that, while both of our centers are decent, Camby at this stage of his career should only play 20some minutes a game, as he only has so many good minutes a game in him and Dalembert is as inconsistent as it gets, so you can't really ever trust him.
Short-term it's somewhat of a concern. Long-term not so much, as I think we'll make a move for an upgrade at center pretty soon.
I also think that Patterson, as limited offensively as he's looked at times still has a lot of upside in him. A summer with McHale might do wonders for him.
If Patterson can be a solid all-around two-way player you can suddenly pair him with a center like Camby or Dalembert and still be effective on offense without having to have a sub par defender out there (Scola), which obviously be huge.

I want to see Camby and Dalembert on the court together. It worked in one game very well and McHale never tried it again.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Well if the Heat don't win the championship this year there is a possibility the big 3 will split so hopefully we can get lebron or wade in a trade..."wishful thinking"
