Teams With a Need For a Power Forward

Post#1 » by GrapeApe » Thu May 17, 2012 6:23 pm

Houston seems to have a wealth of power forwards and plenty of other needs. It seems like trading at least one will be a good idea. It seems to me Houston is in a good position for trading a four because they can either trade a high dollar vet (Scola) or a cheap young player (Patterson or Morris (I wouldn't trade Motie just yet).

That begs the question, which team(s) need a power forward? But despite the leagues dearth of big men it seems most teams have decent power forwards. I attribute this to teams searching for centers and ending up with power forwards.

Any how, Boston will have almost no one on their roster so they are a possibility. Dallas needs someone behind Dirk. Sacramento? San Antonio could use someone behind Duncan or move him to Center (which he does not want).

Who do you think needs a power forward and what could Houston get for theirs?

Would look to work deals with Boston or Sac. Maybe even sending Scola back to San Antonio to rub a little salt in that wound.
