the name of the game is rebuild. rebuild rebuild rebuild. said it so many times it sounds weird now.
im sure that by the trade deadline, hopefully in january, some playoff team/s would want kevin martin. trade him for more rebuilding pieces.
btw young would start over lamb. he's proven and always gets better. good pnr defender

I really hope Motie has some rebounding potential that he hasn't shown yet...

Does setting the euro league record in defensive rebounding count?

Pistons fan here, I come in peace...Would you guys do this trade?
Pistons get: Kevin Martin
Rockets get: Maggette, Singler, Pistons 2013 2nd rounder
Rockets get a cheaper expiring and allows J.Lamb to start at the 2, the Rockets get a young SF/SG to grow with and Pistons throw in a 2nd rounder...

Re: What to do with Kevin Martin now?
Couple things.
1) Houston has like 20 players under contract. I think they want to take back as few players as possible.
2) Houston does not need another power forward.
3) A rebuilding team is not going to trade prospect for Martin.
4) A first round pick would be good value for Martin
5) It is too early to know which teams are dumping salary but by the trade deadline there may be many.
6) Not many teams need a shooting guard.
7) It almost needs to be a three way trade.
Teams that need a two that I can think of are Chicago, Phili. and Phoenix.
Chicago would be a perfect destination but Houston neither needs nor wants Boozer, But could the Clippers use Boozer? Who about Martin to Chicago, Boozer to the Clippers, Lamar Odom (buy him out cheap), Eric Bledsoe and a first? Martin gives the Bulls an upgrade at SG over Rip, Boozer is an upgrade over Odom for the Clippers and Bledsoe is an okay backup to Lin and a first is nice.

We'll see if it translates. So far I haven't seen anything from him that I liked.
