Morris to Rocket Fans, apology accepted (Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by Aaron Brooks » Thu Nov 15, 2012 8:04 am

Prior to Wednesday’s game he had limited shooters to an anemic 20 percent connection rate on spot-ups and a paltry 27.3 percent on isolations according to Synergy Sports. His work in those areas places him in the league’s 94th and 78th percentile respectively, and he also ranks in the 94th percentile when acting as the big defender against pick-and-roll ball-handlers.

“This is a defense-first team,” he says. “I watched what Chandler (Parsons) did last year; he started defending and that got him on the court. So I watched film and I watch film every day, before and after games, just to see where I can pick my spots on defense.”

This guy proved us all wrong after an underwhelming rookie season

He's been very good as of late. I'll admit I hated on him too much the first game of the season.

Edit - I hope he keeps it up, because I've enjoyed watching him play recently.

And credit where credit is due also.

Douglas shot well today.

He's still not as good as Kenneth Faried (POTW) or Kawhi Leonard
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I thought his attitude would be his undoing like Terrance Williams did in his stay here. But he has really changed and focused on working hard on defense and the little details that win games.

Respect and props to Morris.

I don't know how you could give up on a rookie with limited playing time. You guys gotta learn to be more patient. News flash people we aren't winning a chip this year.

he proved me wrong, but talk is cheap. He needs to turn into star level to help this team be a contender. We'll see how much he can improve. We keep losing close games.

Please.

Expecting for mid first rounders to turn into stars in order to help the team is absurd.

Our fans expectations are way too high.

all morris needs to do is be a solid backup/spot starter. he's on his way to being just that. expecthing him to be an all star are high expectations

yeah hes doing very well as a backup. But it wont be enough if we are expecting this team to make the playoffs. Need something better.
