There is always going to be some trash-talk on a forum dedicated to sports. We don't want to be an "everyone gets a trophy" attitude type of place. It is - in ol' Mr. E's opinion - better to allow heated game conversation to get a pass while we mods focus on the true, dickish behavior of some posters.

I don't think that any of us want to be a part of a site that is for fans, but doesn't allow for a bit of the fanatic. That said, I like to think that we are better than the dickish masses that you'll find in the comment section of just about every sports article on the major sports sites.

You can't have a foundation on eggshells. But that is not a pass to just be a dick.

It was funny. If you read page after page from the start of the game on the Lakers GT, they were liking the game, enjoying the pace, crushing on Nash, even had some praise for Sacre. Then the 3rd quarter happened. All the negative comments started to pour in. They hated their bench, understood why Jamison wasn't getting playing time... etc etc. A few pages of hating on their team.

Then kam posted what was on his mind, and their board came back together and stopped hating on their own team and started hating on kam. They don't even realize that he brought them together for 2 or 3 pages. They were having fun.

In saying this, there is a page on FB called "Laker Girls" Basically, it's pictures of female Lakers fans/Dancers etc. Why can't the rockets have a page like that. I commented that it was the only positive thing going for Lakers fans at the moment, as their on court performance sure as hell isn't.
