Re: POLL: Would you rather have Lin or Dragic?
Actually a pretty interesting question..
Contract wise, it is pretty similiar. Gragic's is slightly favorable.
I would argue that although Lin is a better shooter, Dragic overall is a better offensive player by the slightest of margins and more of a true PG. Lin is the better defensive player.
In a situation where the players are similiar in impact to the game and contracts, I would go with the one that is actually very marketable and also happens to be a bit younger.
Also, I beleive Lin's defensive advantages outweigh any offensive advantages Dragic has over him.
I would take Lin, but I have not seen a contract situation like his before. Very interested to see how that almost 15 million number the last year of his contract affects them cap-wise that year.

Contract counts as 8 mill a year against the cap. That's the bonus part of the poison pill contract.

lol. absolutely not.

Lin. see flashes of a great player, lots of room for improvement.
He does tend to go to his right a lot but with success,
he should improves going to the right some more this off season, to make it unguardable

moot point anyways... the guy wanted a 4th year players option...
the team didnt want to give it too him....
he was long gone before Lin came into the picture...
I remember laughing at the Rockets situation, how Morey was dumping players and contracts
thinking Rox are going lottery, as if Howard is going to come to a rebuilding team... etc etc etc
and then they offered the poison pill contract to Lin and I was like WTF

They're similar in talent level, but i'd go with Lin. He makes his teammates better more than Dragic does.

Goran almost had a triple double vs Nets tonight
Goran: 31 ponits, 12 assists, 9 rebounds
Deron: 20 points. 11 asssists, 1 rebound

Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I don't miss Dragic at all, but I hope we'll trade Lin before next season. He's just not a good fit next to Harden, even if he improves his shooting.
Lin might succeed in the right situation elsewhere, but I've given up hope that it'll be here.
(And no, this is not Beverley related.)
(Ok. Maybe.)
