Yeah, who needs a stretch 4 when you have the Reign of Motiejunas.

Looking forward to seeing D-Mo this season. I really think if he puts it all together he can be a great 4 for this team. Terrence Jones I'm not sure about because I feel he wants to be a stretch 4 but I question his outside shooting ability. While D-Mo wasn't a lights out shooter by any means, he does have an excellent post game and with another off-season of strength training and development he could be great.

While I think Love would be the best fit, I think Ilyasova would be great but also ready to see DMO in full effect with D12.

IIRC, DMo was actually hitting the corner three at a good rate (at least to start). It was anywhere else where he often came short. His biggest problem last season was that he was pushed around way too much, and was a foul machine. I'd even say he improved defensively after his first couple of horrendous starts. I remember he was moving better laterally, and was consistently drawing 1-2 charges each game. He's already supposedly gained a ton of weight, and looks to be bigger. If he can more consistently knock down that perimeter shot, I think he'd be a good fit with Dwight.

And TJones is a perimeter 4 too. I don't know if I'd call him a stretch four, because I kind of cringed every time he took a three...but he's a guy who can clean up around the basket, and space out towards the perimeter b/c of his ball-handling ability.

And both play with good energy. It's why I don't mind if we make another move in regards to the four spot. If there isn't one worth trading Asik for, TJones and DMo have enough potential that they could be potentially good fits after an off-season/training camp of work. TJones was especially coming on towards the end of the season.

Nobody is trading Aldridge, Love, Bosh or guys like that for Asik.

Morey is good, but he should just accept a good offer, no way you add another gunner.

do not doubt General Morey
he will prove you wrong
he somehow turn Landry into Martin
then from Martin into Harden
he can turn Asik into Durant

Max you hated Morey. Now youre his biggest fan?

2 years ago half the board wanted him fired during the dark Kevin Martin era. How perception change quickly.

i talked positive about the team when i'm talking to non-regular rockets board people
i still don't like Morey because he made about as much good moves and bad moves
not to mention he is bad at making draft picks
i never say firing him or McHale
we owed Stern an apology
remember he vetoed the trade or else we will stuck with Gasol and probably amnesty him now

I was pissed at him when he drafted 3 PF in the first round when we already had Scola and Patterson. And I wanted him fired when he traded Lowry for a pick. But looking back... the man have a method to his madness.

yea we definitely owe Stern one. He saved this franchise.

Anyway if we dont get Ryan Anderson or Illyasova, a cheap alternative would be Matt Bonner; the Red Rocket.

One year expiring contract and shoots the heck out of the ball. Not an ideal choice but he works as a short term stop gap.

Channing Frye works as well. I really think its essential that we have a shooter at the 4 spot to open up for Howard and Harden. I think we're gonna get one either way, just a matter of whom and what we have to give up.

Morris pick, traded
White pick, traded
some i forgot the name, you now mini Big-Ben and Taylor
T-Will
Ariza signing
etc etc etc
i guess you either get lucky in draft pick or get lucky through trade
he's been very luck through trade
lucky to get Harden
and lucky there are team out there willing to take his mistakes

We wouldn't be able to amnesty Gasol since he was not on our team during the last CBA.

Pau is still a good player. Remember the last game of the regular season? He had 17 points, 20 rebounds and 11 assists in the Lakers victory. He had another triple double in the playoffs but didn't score enough considering Kobe was not playing.

He turned 33 this past Saturday though so I'm sure he's on the decline.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

He's good at defending big men but virtually useless against more athletic/smaller teams.

Go back to the Lakers/Grizzlies series. He was great then. GS and MIA love small ball OTOH so he was much less useful.
