Asik for Jeff Green?

Post#1 » by IMtheotherDB » Fri Jul 12, 2013 6:19 pm

Why hasn't this come up more, Rockets need a better PF and Asik would be great in Boston. He's a willing screener in the P&R with Rondo, and if you add another team to shed some more salary for the C's. How bout add the Bobcats in a S&T for Gerald Henderson to the C's?

Rockets in: Green, BOS 2nd
Rockets out: Asik, Anderson, Ohlbrecht,
(http://www.hoopsworld.com/houston-rockets-team-salary)

Celtics in: Asik, Henderson, Anderson, Sessions(expiring $) CHA 1st from Thomas trade
Celtics out: Green, Lee, Bradley
(http://www.hoopsworld.com/boston-celtics-team-salary)

Bobcats in: Lee, Bradley, Ohlbrecht, HOU 2nd from Trob Trade,
Bobcats out: Henderson, Sessions
(http://www.hoopsworld.com/charlotte-bobcats-team-salary)

Celtics get more money off books, Rockets get a stretch 4, Bobcats add talent.

I'd rather do Asik for Kelly Olynyk.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

They just drafted the kid, he's cheaper and with the C's in "rebuilding mode" cheaper is the better option. Move big money, add picks, and rebuild. Rockets need immediate talent to contend, whats the difference between him vs the PF's we have now?

Green is about 1/infinity as good as Asik.

That's a bit hyperbolic isn't it ? :)

Green's a less fortuitous person's Josh Smith, with a better jump shot. But he can't go left, which is something he needs to fix.

i think giving enough playing time and the defense attention turn to Harden/Howard/Parsons, i think Jones is going to shine

Green would be a perfect fit on the Rockets, but he's probably not needed if DMo and Jones improve.

Why trade Asik? We need a strong bench...starting 5 is already great...
At certain moments, always unforeseen, I become happy…
I look at strangers near as if I had known them all my life…
everything fills me with affection…
It may be an hour before the mood passes,
but ultimately I seem to understand

no more space in sig
