Are the good luck girls still bad luck? Or do we only post victory girls when the game is wrapped up... you know... with a win?

I'll put the first half of the Butts & Struts in spoiler tags from here on out. Don't want to make this unsafe for anyone at work.

Harden (back, wrist), Beverley (bruised ribs) did not practice. Both day to day. - CSN

With beverley (bruised ribs), harden (sore back, wrist) listed 'day to day heading into 4 in 5 nights, expect lot of 'game-time decisions' - Feigen

HOU practice update: P. Beverley & J. Harden not practicing today after sustaining minor injuries last night. More info when practice wraps.- Friedman

Quick thoughts on the game after a night of disgestion:

-D12 looked great, health-wise, which we've already seen indications of in the preseason but nice to see over regular minutes. This is the most important thing. But I think if the whole D12 + Asik starting line-up is ever going to work, D12 MUST go out and contest shooting 4's and trust Asik can hold down the paint. Most shooting 4's in this league are specialized shooters and don't typically have strong dribble-drive games or the ability to shoot off the dribble. I'm still highly skeptical this will work in the long-run.

-Rotations are interesting. Looks like Casspi impressed enough in the preseason to put Smith/Jones/D-Mo in the doghouse. It's a shame really, I'm high on Smith but there's no place for him to fit in with the current roster.

-Management of minutes seemed pretty interesting, first of which McHale subbing Harden out prior to the end of the 1st qtr. Last season Harden almost always played the entire qtr, so it looks like the plan initially is to shave 2-3 minutes off his workload which is what I was hoping for, unless this is all tied to Harden's sore back. McHale also subbed out Bev and Asik fairly early about halfway thru the 1st qtr for Lin and Casspi. I think this is going to be a theme here where Bev and Asik are both going to be subbed out for Lin + shooter. I still think at the end of the day this whole D-12/Asik starting together thing is going to run into some problems and will eventually be more of a match-up thing than our regular starting line-up.

My proper work shirt is like a soccer jersey. We do casual Friday's, so every Friday, you can just wear a t-shirt if you want. No classic office attire for me. (I can proudly say I have not worn a shirt and tie in over 5 years. I refuse to do so.) I have a James Harden jersey, it was the 1st game of the season, so I thought why not. I got a way with it, so unless it's a Friday, I won't do it again. Oh, and I wore a white t-shirt underneath the jersey so it's not like I was just wearing that.
