I saw all the 'deal with it's and 'it's part of the game, it's strategy' last year but as soon as you have a guy on your team it sucks doesn't it?

I'll admit, I laughed heartily when we used it to beat you guys the other day and it worked, because well F*** Dwight lol.

But I will say that I completely agree. I made the same argument last year and I did it in years before. Why is there an 'intentional foul' rule when it doesn't apply to these intentional fouls? It's not part of the play, it's not a play on the ball, it ruins the flow of the game, it's not fun to watch (aside from this one time ;) ) It just doesn't have anything to do with the game. Now I also agree that a guy needs to learn to shoot his FTs and deal with his mental issues, but that still comes into play. I just think the intentional off the ball grabbing is ridiculous. The team still needs to deal with the fact that they can't really get the ball to the player in a scoring position. If he gets it and the defender makes an aggressive play for the ball or the block and fouls, so be it, that's part of the play and the guy needs to make his FTs. There is still plenty of strategy and negatives on keeping a poor FT shooter out there.

I still think it should be one FT and the ball back. If you are in the bonus, two FTs and the ball back.

problem is he's making them on the road but not at home

Well Dwight's issue has always been mental, and I'm sure his nervousness is amplified by the home crowd. I know in high school I was nervous at times, I always played better on the road because I never cared who was watching there but at home it was my friends, peers, and family. Eventually though when I was a senior the big games at homecoming and stuff the crowd excited me and gave me energy instead of making me nervous, it was all a confidence and mental thing. Dwight has admitted it affects him, he's not mentally strong.

It's funny to me because I just don't like the guy, but I still stand by the strategy is not right and should be removed from the game. It's akin to football, when you make a penalty before the play even starts to disrupt the play they get penalized and the other team gets the down all over again. The intentional fouls when a guy doesn't have the ball, when he just barely crosses half court, etc are the same thing to me, they are purposely disrupting game play and should be treated as such.

A lot of people here have previously been outspoken against both this tactic and flopping.
(Even when we had, Scola, Battier, and Kevin Martin on the team.)

Generally, I think our fanbase is against **** plays/players as well, and prefer character guys (or at least the appearance of it) whenever possible.

If nothing else, it absolutely vomits regurgitated diarrhea on the watchability of the game.
