Re: Coach Kevin
When can the rockets get rid of McHale, I am so tired of him right now. He costed us numerous games. We got so many talents in this team, and it feels like we are not going anywhere. why can't Morey just trade the Mchale's sorry ass away? Morey seems to really care about the team, so do something soon.
I just so had enough of McHale..

Right because it's not like the Houston Rockets overachieved their pre-season perception 2 strait season under him or anything.
I guess by signing big players we also turn much of our fan base into Knicks and Lakers fans.

Re: Coach Kevin
After looking over a lot of stats from the last game.
McHale played his starters especially Harden way too many minutes for no specific good reason. He decided to have Jeremy as the bench guy 6th man, but doesn't utilize him. Instead he played Harden for 42+ minutes when there was no major sign of the lead slipping away. McHale fell victim to the rope a dope again from Carlisle. McHale got scared of losing the game and went to the starters too soon and too often and as result the starters were gassed and lacked energy to play any defense. Also, McHale failed to make noticeable adjustments out of timeouts for neither offense nor defense.
McHale is just not a good coach, he doesn't do any single thing well, not managing rotations, not gameplans or drawing up plays. He is however pretty good talking on TV and McHale is not the worst coach (Kidd). Average describes him well, Maybe C- after totally demoralizing Asik.

Well Lin had his first crap game of the season, so I can see not playing him much, I do feel Harden he plays too much and needs to have a shorter leash on, especially in regards to his defense. He's the lead player on this team so he needs to take responsibility like one, that isn't clearly evident when he has plays like 36 year old Vince Carter driving right past him like it's 2001 while also botching the last shot badly. You can have one of those, but not both.
But really, the Mavricks hit a crazy number of tough shots and we shot 22% from 3 against the zone, when that happen your going to lose. coaches don't magically make people hit or miss shots.
From a larger picture POV, for people that actually see how coaches and teams evolve, it's stupid to really think the team should fire McHale. yeah, let's fire McHale and grab a real champion coach like Doc River, look at him leading those Clippers to a 8-5 record , where as McHale screw us to a 8-5 record.

clippers are 8-5 with a extremely hard schedule.
Rockets twice.
Heats
OKC
TWolves twice.
Grizzlies ---- their kryptonite.
Nets ---- They played pretty well against them.
Coach mchale sucks but i don't think their is a suitable replacement. Thus... we are stuck with him for now. I also feel that the majority of our players want to play under Mchale. This is the BIG reason why Mchale will stay.

Re: Coach Kevin
You can't play James Harden the whole second half (42+ minutes total) and expect him to play defense in crunch time. If he rests his sore feet for a few minutes at the beginning of the 4th, maybe he hits those free throws at the end of the game to tie it. How many times have we played this kind of game against Dallas? We have superior talent, and a lead, but Carlise comes up with the win in the end.
And now that we have lost Asik's mojo, I predict McHale is going to demoralize Lin. We need to trade the both of them for someone McHale will utilize. Bottom line is we played our starters pretty much the entire 4th quarter and lost to Dallas again. Dirk (33 minutes) rested in the 4th for Dallas, and surprise - he hits his shots in crunch time.

McHale is a serviceable coach. He is a below average strategist. Not the best motivator. He is however good with the pecking order. He understands politics like a middle management guy would. Meaning he kisses ass to the right people and he cuts down the people he can get away with. McHale is a survivor.
Funny that I see a lot of McHale in Parsons. I find it interesting how Parsons attitude is changing so quickly this season.
At the end of the day, the team does get molded around the personality of the head coach. You can definitely see some players not meshing with McHale. McHale's beef with Asik is going to be legendary. It's going to get worse.
McHale won't be fired this season. The talent on this roster is too good. Middle management tactics is to cut costs and increase revenue. McHale is kind of a backseat GM too. He mainly want to tinker with pregame line ups and he evaluates his players and his assistant coaches. You can hear that way of thinking in post game interviews. He never acknowledges himself as the coach responsible for what's happening on the court. It's kind of surreal.

I'm good with rolling with Sampson over McHale. Maybe pick up somebody in the offseason like Lionel Hollins or somebody

Who's ass is Parsons kissing? (figuratively speaking).
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Parsons speaks for McHale now. Like how Parsons "leaked" the season starting line up. How when McHale got flack for telling off "Asik is not the GM". Parsons got on twitter and blasted Asik when Asik went on strike. The official story was Asik didn't feel good because of Flu. Parsons went out of his way a few times now to speak for the management.
Parsons is the designated the captain now. He has a right to speak his mind, but I think it's going to come back to bite him.

Parsons did not tweet anything about Asik, He spoke to the Chron reporter and hardly "blasted" him. If the official story was Asik had the flu then how was Parsons speaking for management when he contradicted that? -POF

You might be right about Twitter, it might have been someone else that tweeted what Parsons said about Asik, but it was a real quote and it was on video too.
The official story from the management was that Asik had the Flu and wasn't feeling well. When you run a company you can't dirty yourself. You have other people do the dirty work for you... you get it? Like I said, Parsons became the guy that "leak" stuff. IMO it's stupid, because it will come back to bite him.
If you follow Howard and Melo, they have contacts with goon in the media that does that for them. CyberX from CF is a well known goon of Howard. Take note that Parsons and Howard share the same agent now.
The Parsons on Asik hate is similar to the "big boy pants" fiasco with Pau Gasol and Kobe. But Kobe will Kobe, he has paid his dues to be controversial. I don't know why Parsons think he's the big shot right now, because he's just getting used.

Come on. Parsons does not hate Asik. I bet he was the one who convinced Asik to come back to the team.
Your conspiracy theory makes no sense. Why would management use Parsons to sabotage Asik's trade value around the league?

It's not a conspiracy when players say dumb things on live interview. I mean it is either, 1) Parsons having a blond moment. 2) He was repeating what he heard from the management.
No one force Parsons to say what he said, and I didn't make it up. It was stupid, he could have STFU.
Just like the stupid things that Asik said, but Asik never openly say them on live interview. The stuff Asik said was leaked, and then confirmed by... Parsons. I mean, how dumb do you (Parsons) have to be? He went and dug holes for both himself and Asik.

I'm not an insider, I don't really know. Usually the truth will surface when more people look into it.
My original interpretation was that Parsons thought it was a good opportunity to get on McHale's good side. Because I didn't think Parsons was a dumb guy. But a person that would jump at an opportunity.
Besides, Asik is a pretty safe target, he will be gone in a month anyway. It's just that McHale couldn't say anything on Asik.

To be honest, I don't think Parsons should have said anything publicly either but I also don't think he's McHale's puppet or trying to kiss his ass. I don't even think what he said was all that bad and apparently Omer doesn't either.

After ugly losses to the Jazz and Suns...can he motivate the team to give Golden State a game on Friday?
