It's really a preference by McHale and staff not to include Lin in their strategic plan. They've decided to roll with Bev and overlook things like 0-assists in 32-minutes, a low shooting percentage and a complete lack of playmaking ability under the premise of his great defense. They've decided that no matter what, Bev is going to get 30-40 minutes a night to develop. In the meanwhile, the 25-year old Lin with greater potential sits and doesn't get to develop his game with the starters. His minutes will continue to drop and he will be brought in only under dire circumstances (i.e., Bev fouls out).

Do him a service McHale and tell Moray to deal him pleeeease.

This is the problem with the coaching staff. Bev is a 3rd string PG and has no offensive ability whatsoever. You can pick up a dozen at minimum, yet benched the only play maker in the team.

I guess they don't need a player maker in this team because H&H will get the ball 80% of the time to ISO, Parson get 10% on a fast break and then rest of the 10% go to others who will catch and shoot with less than 3 seconds on the clock.

The Rockets was fun to watch last year until Heroball becomes the standard. This is even harder to watch with Howard added to the team. Absolutely no ball movement.

It's not $15M as many have claimed. I'm guessing it's the same for Asik.

According to Zach Lowe, Asik (and Lin) will be owed $15M in 2014-2015, but only half of that amount will count against the cap. ( http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-trian ... -omer-asik ). In the same article, Lowe speculates that $15M for Asik may not be unreasonable for a rim-protecting double-double machine. What about Lin?

For a starter-grade PG, a cap hit of $8.37M is about average. Lin's a starter-grade PG in this league (you'd have to be a pathological LOH to not think that). Of course, he's not worth the $15M salary in that last year (you'd have to be a pathological LOF to not think that). But I think a lot of teams--especially rich ones like the Lakers and the Knicks, as well as rebuilding ones with a large Asian market like the Rap's--can afford it, and should be willing to pay it. However, the Rox, especially if they're looking to upgrade with another star and with Parsons due for a MASSIVE raise (and, in just my opinion, Parsons is as indispensable to this team as Dwight and Harden), DEFINITELY have to trade him.

So Lin will definitely be gone (or, worse comes to worst, maybe even waived, so Morey can cut his losses) before the start of next season. My guess is that Morey will retain Lin's services for the remainder of this year since, although the cap hit is $8M and change, his actual salary is $5M--and $5M for Lin, even off the bench, is a pretty good deal.

still bad 17m for those two guys who we have in the bench i rather have a star for 17m than 2 bench players thank you

I would say bad because the two stars of the team cant work with other players...

Rox need a 17 million dollar SUPER star player....

or they will be 50 win team for years to come and never win a Chip...

thats why I want Lin out of here... not because I think if he played PnR 40 minutes a game, Rox would be any closer to a Chip

but I figure if he has to sacrifice his game at least there would be a Chip out of it...

if not then I rather see him on a lottery team... making it exciting for me to watch again

I want to see him turn a scrub into the next Fields or Novak..... LOL

Landry Fields was great his rookie year, the best he ever was, before NY made that big trade... idk what wrong with him.

and I maybe wrong but Lin on a lottery team is just asking for trouble, he is like Kyle Lowry... they are both guaranteed to sit out games due to injury.

yes but it would be fun to watch him play again...

Lin plays half out of control, but like others have said in this forum he does get a few more hard fouls than you would expect...

are you not concerned about Harden when he does the ISO drives?

back in the day he probably would have been given hard fouls...

and without Lin to take the beatings... Harden will probably be the focal point of those hard fouls for the Rox

+1

Would you agree that last year was primarily Chandler, Kidd, and Smith?

I really do hope y'all get a better owner soon. The Knicks being good is a lot better for the league.
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor
