What Rockets need is a new coach. McHale just don't cut it. How is giving ball to Harden a play? Do you really expect this will work.

There is no pick whatsoever. Sure, it works for Harden, but what about the other players? Basketball is a 5 person games. You suppose to create and find opening for yourself, not standing around.

As much as the loss is on our players, when Cousins is ready to play he is the real deal.

Of course Dwight doesn't want to run PNR. He might get 1 shot a game out of a PNR play now. All the players run PNR really just to get themselves a shot.

Cousins is not the best center in the league. The best center in the league doesn't have his team 10-20. He gets 6 shots more a game than Dwight. Cousins is good but he really just racking up stats on a team with nobody else.

This game was annoying because of the terrible perimeter defense again. Harden in the first half was a joke defensively. They ran so many Iso plays that It just got flat out boring. Apparently this team can't walk and chew gum at the same time. I don't see why its so hard when Harden plays to still go inside to Dwight more than a few times a quarter.

Dwight doesn't want to PnR because he thinks he's a post player.

Harden looks for his shot off the PnR but Lin is a very willing passer. The success of the Lin + Chandler PnR was one of the biggest factors during Linsanity.

I've seen Lin + Howard PnRs end in easy buckets for Dwight on a few occasions. Problem is Rockets rarely ever run it. They always try to feed Dwight in the post instead.

Has anyone else noticed how we aren't pushing the pace as much as last year? Between JLin throwing on the afterburners and Harden slicing in eurostepping, beard in peak performance and all ~ I thought last years team ran others into the ground by 1/2 time most of the time ( though an issue for the Rockets is still conditioning and physical development of player bodies ). We tend to suffer a higher chance of losing in a back2back or a series of back2backs when compared to other teams that have had a few more years to gel and or work on it (in the gym).

Pacers and Heat are a great example.

I finally got to see the Sac game.

Man it's really really tough to gauge Harden's "worth" to a team. The guy can flat out score. On anyone, from anywhere, at anytime.

But, he forces the issue so much. A few of his shots were of the "just throw it up and hope to get fouled" that are just as bad as a turnover because the rest of the team ends up standing around watching him while the other team gets a fast break going the other way and Harden stays back to complain.

And his defense. My god...it's not getting better...at all. Hard to say it's getting worse because he is already so horrible. You can tell that when he doesn't play defense, the other guys don't put as much effort. He was getting burned by Thornton and then he got alley oop dunked on and the rest of the team was just so lack luster. Then there was a great sequence where TJones got a great block, then Lin got a steal and assist to Jones, then Parsons was on the floor and going for steals.

Good defense is CONTAGIOUS. When your leader is out there playing hard, it makes everyone else want to play just as a hard. Howard SHOULD be that leader that sets the tone but Harden seems to refuse to want to let him.

And he just completely "phases" out people in the end. Come fourth quarter crunch time...Harden absolutely refuses to pass the ball unless he's dribbled it down to 3 seconds left on the clock and he has no open look. In the last 2 minutes of the game, he didn't pass the ball ONCE (that I can recall).

Honestly...if you asked me RIGHT NOW...I would say this team would be better if they replaced Harden with a solid 15/5 guy who plays tough D and knows how to run some plays. Howard, Parsons and Lin could pick up the scoring slack, without the ball hogging and lack of D.

Somebody needs to tell Harden to play team basketball. If Mchale can't do it, then Dwight or someone else needs to do it. Rockets will not go beyond the first round of playoff if Harden keeps playing this selfish ball, and we already have so many talents in this team. I don't know how we can waste a group of talents like that. Dwight might leave Houston if the team is not going anywhere. Even more players might leave who knows.

I hear what you're saying, but I dunno. Harden got away with a lot last year because it was his first time as "the man" and he put up crazy offensive numbers after being a super sub for OKC. But, this year...he's getting exposed as a flopping chucker who plays no D. If you're a superstar on some other team and you're looking for a team to play with...would you REALLY want to come play alongside Harden?

I really really wonder how much Howard actually likes playing with Harden. I know if I was Howard, I would hate Harden's guts. As much crap as Howard gets for being a bit clumsy on offense, this guy busts his ass on defense. It's gotta be frustrating for him to see Harden not give a crap on defense and THEN not even pass him the ball on offense.

It depends on the match up for Dwight and if he can move his man out of the way... then you keep feeding him the ball

we have seen him play for 9 years... and its always been the case when he comes up against a center Dwight cant move he has a subpar game

in this game they should have been dumping him the ball...

and passing him the ball on the PnR

what should be frustrating is in the OKC game they kept feeding Dwight the ball when he couldnt move Ibaka..

instead of doing PnRs and forcing Ibaka to move his feet to defend Dwight
