Seems the 1-2 PnR we like to run with Lin-Harden is getting some pub after last night's win.
http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_ ... nge-winnerI think one thing the article doesn't mention is that not switching and having Lin's defender going under the screen is also not that effective due to Lin turning the cornor off the screen and driving into the middle of the floor with a full head of steam, which at the end of the day is pretty hard to defend. We've been using this 1-2 PnR quite a bit, dating all the way back to I would say the middle of last season or so, and it has proved to be quite effective. It's one of the few plays that tailors to both Lin and Harden's strengths.
In other notes I was a bit sad to see how conservative Canaan played with his first real minutes on the floor. He's a shooter, he should've been shooting with no hesitation whenever he saw daylight. Also I will say Harden is most definitely putting more effort on defense lately, especially in terms of rotating quicker and challenging shots. Still leaves quite a bit to be desired but it's a lot better than before.
